Ah yes, the so called "persecution" of Christians by the evil communists. Nevermind that pretty much all of the imprissoned priests were either members or outspoken supporters of the Iron Guard, that they beat their chests with their fists and shouted at the top of their lungs in 1941 about how we need to go and fight the Holy War against the evil communists, and sent our boys to die by the hundreds of thousands for Hitler while they sat in their mansions, nevermind that they are the ones responsible for radicalising the people into commiting the massacres and pogroms they did, nevermind that that they fed and armed the surviving Iron Guard members who hid in the mountains and attacked collective farms and civilian supply convoys which were distributing food to the peasants. Nevermind that they are responsible for the deaths of the young boys of the People's Army because in their deranged minds they could butcher their way into their fascist dream state. But wouldn't you know it, after those fascists were rid of, the "persecution" of Christians stopped. And wouldn't you know it, churches were still there, and priests were still preaching in them, and whoever wanted to go to the church went. Romanians will tell you now about how the evil communists demolished their churches, but none will have a single example of a person who wanted to go to Church but couldn't, because the Church was full and there weren't enough churches. No such thing ever happened.
