Anyone who owned slaves should never be considered a Christian. God commanded the Israelites to free their slaves every seven years to remember their freedom from Egypt. How much greater is our freedom from the slavery of sin? To hold another in bondage, while claiming God freed you from bondage, is blasphemous and evil.
