wow, I have always look at the sea and felt that it is too complicated, it is amazing how you manage to synthetize the way it behaves through this medium. Thanks for sharing this knowledge.

Thank you for your video. Can you 1) paint fat over fat: 2) lean over lean; 3) if you can paint fat over fat or if you have fat over lean can you glaze (because isn’t this lean)? I’m a beginner and get so confused by this concept.

It's always a treat to watch a professional demonstrate something, thank you! Light is, verily, the most important aspect of a painting, along with shadow. Wonder why this video has not got more viewership and comments when most of the videos on youTube, imho, are done by narcissists, Lol!

Surely pastels will either smudge, stick to glass due to static electricity or loose colour if sprayed?

Can you tell me what you were going to say before you were interrupted around one hour eight minute mark? It was about artists network and published magazines.

An excellent video which I know I will come back to from time to time. Now I understand why I found certain photographs and paintings to be either "wrong"" or "boring". It also explains the rationale behind things I intuitively knew and also concepts I didn't get, but can now apply to my future paintings.

Did he lift out a sun beam going from center left of the horizon down to left corner afterwards, or is that from an external light source in the studio?

Safflower and poppy oils are very very slow drying oils which could be used as brush dip to keep them wet many days

I wish you had another venue for your courses because I bought 3 classes of yours on AN, however when I watch them, I get constant interruptions due to freezing of the video over and over again. I tried downloading a video player per AN suggestion, but that didn’t work either. Dry frustrating and it has stopped me from going to you as an instructor.

Incredible work. I love using coloured pencils (in colouring books, I can't draw well) and seeing them blend together to create something beautiful. Your work is on a whole other level, though, so much so that I just had to find you on Instagram to see more! I particularly love how you blend the hyper-realism with the fantastical and mythological - it's just breathtaking. 😊❤
