The class balance in this game was what ultimately made me quit - one of the worst ive ever seen. I wish they'd hired a team of OG pvpers (ideally non whales) as employees/advisors to class balance, that would have made the game truly competitive.

Diving light hitstun me when I have 100 poise and 2 shot me. No idea how to avoid this. i use mimic tear and hopefully radahn will dive to mimic. sometime works. i am at ngpp.

@@tommychan72738 if the concern is the damage. Get ur scadutree up, then wear marika's braid+dragoncrest greatshield talisman + defense tear U should take only a little dmg from tht attack. Hehee

I really don’t see how anyone thinks this boss isn’t dope as fuck. It’s not unfair, me a average player beat it with no summons and just a rapier. Not saying that as a ego thing I’m just saying it’s not unfair. It feels good to finally beat him. I spent 4 ish hours and when I beat it was amazing. This is just a bad take homie

on diving light if you sprint to the right you can avoid the the phantom attacks and then just dodge the actual radahn attacks after. as long as you start running right when he goes into the air then your all good

I've beaten him twice already, fiest with the Milady, second with the Rakshahsa great katana or however it is spelled, but I'm kn my third playthrough with the kung fu arts and he is destroying me. All of these were with no summons, but how is it that my most recent playthrough seems to be my toughest tine beating him yet? The kung fu arts were destroying all the other bosses in the playthough. And before you askz these were all separate new games, no ng+ (I got a bunch of characters dlc ready)

@@bombthing the martial Arts build is okay against him, it just plays at a different way against radahn, u gotta play a lot more conservatively. Cuz dryleaf excels at long strings of combos that gradually get stronger while this boss barely lets u get away with 2-3 hits even with a fast weapon Tbf, anything not straight up cheese or broken is gonna have a tough time against this boss. Hes too juiced up. I suggest using just 2-3 r1's on attacks marked (2) and using dryleaf whirlwind on those marked (3) In my experience that works well and u can actually win Pretty fast if u managed to keep the consecutive dmg buff along the fight. Thats easily gonna give u 2-2.5k AR when combined with GV/FGMS Bleed infusion works wonders, frostbite is soso But yea, thats abt all i could say. Hope it helps

look, im new game plus five and im trying to beat him at lv. 250, mimic tear too, he can two shot me first phase and i'm not finding broken enough builds, even the shield trick doesn't work. i'm really cooked...

I am using summons allies scarlet rot ranged build(dragon communion) and overleveling (farm to 250 lv in my first playthrough) and I still got completely destroyed. Radahn is definitely too hard. :(

I got the final boss spoiled for me before the dlc came out, but tbf it has been a week and imo thats about the time spoilers are ok, I understand not everyone can play the dlc within a week of its release, so I sympathise with those people, heck I didnt get Elden ring itself until a month after it came out.

This is really encouraging. I love souls games my favorite is blood-borne, but I’m at the greatest player either pretty average. This boss was getting on my nerves so I was very determined to kill him. I don’t care how many times I have to die. I summon my summon spirit and I got that one dude that you talk to and you can summit his gold sign. Finally got this boss. I don’t care what anybody says. I use whatever I have to use to beat the game. I’m a torture myself. I have nothing to prove

my cheese tip that almost always if you know the moves work. 1. Use a bleed weapon. 2. Equip Quickstep. 3. Beat the sh1t out of Mesmer. I use a pyromancy faith build and I have the sacred seal left and right a dagger with quickstep. every dodge I cast blackflame. <- Took me over 60 tries to beat this mf. I almost hate the game rn.

This is ng+2 i think, the boss should be the same even in ng+7 Just hits harder and has higher hp.. Essentially.. The guide should still work fine.

I think theres another moveset that Messmer does that wasnt covered in this video. Its the one where it look like hes gonna do his mid air combo where he flys behind you to do that multiple midair stab attack....but in this case its just him straight jumping off the ground and doing a 1080 circular slash going through you while jumping, where he warps literally behind you, and if you tried to dodge his initial movement towards you, you wont be able to dodge the attack from when hes right behind you, which then that eventually has him doing the dive stab attack. Its the only move I cant figure out how to deal with. Even on the wiki I cant seem to find this move. I keep thinking its just the normal mid air combo he does, but its definitely something different.

ah, i know what u mean. man... i completely forgot that moveset, he barely use it against me so i ended up forgetting hhahah!!, that moveset, let the thing spin around u a bit then dodge at the last hit, the first 5 frames of animation wont dmg u even if it looks like it would, the next followup will be the slash and divebomb combo, easy to deal with. hope it helps

Summoned black knight tiche and hornsent. Even with three of us it took a few goes. There's a small quest chain to allow his use in the battle. Just choose to help hornsent prior to the battle. You have to use your summon, dodge hus first 2 attacks then summon in hornsent. Otherwise you'll get wiped before he spawns in.

They are really, really pushing it with this boss. The timings for dodging are absurdly tight. Once again emphasizing all the problems with boss design in Elden Ring. Enemies that move like they are in Sekiro or Bloodborne while the player moves like he's in Dark Souls.

I will agree, this is definitely not a good boss, Why? example, if you're a caster build. or a mage, this is basically screaming at you to re-spec into a melee build. cuz you ain't casting SH!!T against this boss. What's more apparent is most boss spawns that have dash intro move infront of the fog gate, that's why you see a lot of bloodstains infront of the foggate. People who aren't complaining obviously are bleed users. almost all enemies in the DLC are very susceptible to bleed, and making Faith builds very difficult

At 10 and max stats you're still gone in 3 hits. Choose light gear or casting gear. You're better off with the magic buffs you can get from them, over pure defence.
