To think I drove over that bridge at least 2 times a day for a year, to & from work. The view from this bridge was breathtaking! Sorry for those killed in the collapse. May they RIP.

Thanx a mill I live in Baltimore and I have been across the Bay Bridge and the Potomac River(Harry Nice) but never the others on the Eastern shore and I learned about the Sinepuxent Bay and the Chinoteague… 😉

I enjoyed going over this bridge. I live in an area where there are many bridges, Hampton Virginia. I am used to having to cross them. This is not scary. If anyone reading this has driven the old James River Bridge, between Newport News and Isle Of Wight County, that was a very scary ride.

I prefer tunnels to bridges - and this is the newer of the two in the Port of Baltimore. My travel music was Janet Jackson's "Lonely" from "Rhythm Nation:1814".

Saw MSNBC news report about its collapse. Went over this Bridge in summer of 2022 while my brother went over the Bridge from Annapolis, MD to Easton, PA area in Spring 2023. Their route was 97-695 via FSK Bridge to 95 north then 476 North to 22 East

Thanks for capturing this. Certainly provides perspective regarding the size and utility of this bridge. Terrible that people were harmed and possibly killed with this collapse.

What are the green arrows for prior to the tunnel and why in the tunnel are there so many overhead lights? I question this everytime I take the trip
@Mapmaker1559
@Mapmaker1559 5 ай бұрын
I believe the arrows are to indicate that all lanes are open (like there's no accident or anything). I don't know why, but it must be a legal requirement to have those before tunnels because all tunnels seem to have them, even small ones like this one. And this overhead lights of course are to improve visibility, especially since the tunnel is short enough that no one is going to turn on their highlights while passing through.

One time, when I was 13 years old, my Parents, Tebletse Tedla and Tesfaye Wegderesgn, younger Brother, Yared Tesfaye, and I went to Annapolis, Maryland, which is the Capital City of Maryland, on Friday November 28, 2003, which was on the day after Thanksgiving, I almost threw up.

8:55, 10:00, 10:38, 21:14 Those bridges sound like the I-70/US 40 Monocacy River bridge, Spring Ridge Parkway bridge and MD-144 Old National Pike bridge passed Frederick, Maryland. Also the right side road pavement of the Patapsco River bridge in Ellicott City, Maryland.

I was Baltimore for 10 days . I can honestly say I hated that city. All I could think was"Where are the damn sidewalks"? Plus the bumpiest roads in America. And no bicycle lanes or routes.
