I've always found this formation so interesting and always hoped a coach would have the personnel to give this a go. I suppose transitioning across 3 zones while taking the appropriate shape (dropping mid fielders and forwards further back while defending with and without the ball) would really need intelligent, super fit players to pull this off.

Sad I missed the live show, but some SWEET kits in this batch! NMU's Sandia kit: 4/5 - Love the sash, the little details and colors (especially the turquoise)! Not a fan of the sponsor's papyrus (PAPYRUS!) font, though, so that docks some points. 👏 Sacramento Primary (Red): 2/5 - It's fine. Fairly plain, but it gets the job done. Just doesn't do it for me. 😕 Sacramento Secondary (White): 2.5/5 - I think I have a thing for sashes! The sash slightly bumps up this kit for me. 🎽 THE Miami FC's Predator Kit: 5/5 - I'm trying *really* hard not to be biased, but DANG! The alligator print, the white collar, the beautiful sleeves... it's gorgeous and it might be up there with the 2022 home kit as one of my favorite that the club has ever released. I'm a sucker for polo kits! 🤩 Omaha Glow in the Dark Kit: 3/5 - Automatic "cool" points for glowing in the dark. I dig the splatter, but agree it's a little empty on the top. Still, a very solid kit! 👍 River Light Fox Valley River Kit (say that 5 times fast): 3/5 - Love a good topographical kit and the little hidden details (otters are dope). Not a big fan of the color, though (but now that I see that it's a GK kit, it makes a lot of sense haha). 🦦 Awesome show, fellas! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on Oakland, Pittsburgh, and One Knox's kits! 🔥

Damn El Paso's is soooo bad

I get that the Indy XI W team is good, but the Racing W team literally tied them in points and beat them in goal differential.

These are tired old arguments based on spending other people's money in uplifting the US Open Cup. Why don't they do this or why don't they do that? The USSF, USL and other parts of the soccer body in the US can also look at themselves in the mirror. Consider the USSF in the years after the 94 World Cup had well over $130 Million that was to be used to support the growth of the game. Instead of investing the money wisely and spending strategically, they squandered the money and wasted many millions on lawsuits. They also wasted the guaranteed millions they received from SUM each year at a time when their properties like the US Open Cup and National Teams were worth very little and could not get any broadcaster to buy their rights. Instead SUM kept the rights and sold their own advertising and sponsorships. As for the NASL and USL and a host of other professional entities also contributed little to the growth of the US Open Cup as they were just trying to keep their head above water when they were not involved in their own lawsuits. And for all the outrage by fans, when given the opportunity to go to games, they didn't, at least not in numbers anywhere near what would be required to pour more money into the tournament. No doubt MLS could have done more but to dump this on MLS is myopic. They made a business decision, that I don't agree with, but I understand based on the a comparison between the Leagues Cup vs US Open Cup. The attendances were very strong with great games and the prize money was $40 Million for Leagues Cup vs $400k for the Open Cup (which has not increased substantially over the years fwiw). Don't get me wrong I want to see the Open Cup continue with everyone. I disagree with MLS but I do understand the thinking. USSF needs to step up and show leadership and bring the different elements together to make this a serious competition that incentivises clubs to participate.

As an Oakland Roots fan that lived in San Diego when San Diego Loyal enter the league, the losses of San Diego Loyal and Rio Grande Valley hurt. Focusing on RGV, most of professional sports in Texas is focused on Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and Austin. Then there's El Paso and RGV in the shadows. At least El Paso Locomotive is still around.
