Thank you for showing his mistakes! I really appriciate it.Its hard not to feel ashamed with my SDit when she makes a mistake like sniffing a product,or not listening the first time,so its really nice to see the reality of your team! A lot of service dog content on yt only shows the flawless parts.

Freja has had three training classes at Petco and I have been public access training her since she was four months old. I have had to do public access training and task training on my own. I do need a service trainer to help me train Freja in complex public access situations. I have the same approach when I do public access training with Freja . I want to see what we need to work on. Freja does need a lot more distraction training.

Ok, the wanting to walk ahead while still in heel, randomly wanting to sniff, and not wanting to lay down when you tell them down the first time, HAS to be a poodle trait, cause my poodle sd does the same exact things! 😂😂

Very nice collection! I been looking for harness bc my service dog gets hot easily. I also only use a rain jacket but not a coat or something for the winter bc again he gets hot easily. Also r pull straps only for mobility or can it be used for anything?

The way you were able to talk about these difficult things not a lot of people can do, you hold your head up and show others the hardships in having a dog, two in fact. Way to go and way to not let others get you down, we are here to support you and I am always here for you on this journey you have. You are not alone and prayers are being sent your way. Sending prayers😍

I have a SDIT who just hit 8 weeks post op of a complete TPLO surgery on her knee. I will say do the surgery, recovery sucks it’s so long and extremely strict and it’s more time consuming than some of the daily training I do with my her, but it is so worth it. We just got orthopedically cleared 8 weeks post op to return to normal activity over the next month, it sucks but it’s also so so worth it! The only other thing I recommend is finding a certified rehab vet who can do post op rehab, it has made the most difference on top of at home strength training/rehab. It is stressful but know it’s the best for her♥️

I'm glad you're dog is healing and doing so well! I bet recovery is not the easiest thing to go through.

Another thing i would recommend for bringing a service dog to the movies is a settle mat because quite often there is alot of candy and popcorn on the floor so by having a settle mat on the floor you can prevent a sticky belly plus because they will be laying down for a long time it will make the floor a bit more comfortable
@baileerosemary3 ай бұрын
That's a great idea! I wish I brought a mat incase there was something messy on the floor.

As someone with genetically anxious dogs, thank you for not breeding Mercedes. I have heard those types of surgeries can take a while to heal because it is hard to get the animal to take it easy. Hopefully both surgeries go smoothly and she recovers quickly.

Do it! You will love anything she makes for you. I let her design my hybrid harness with the only direction being "please have it say 'medical alert' and please make it masculine". She made a beautiful gray harness with navy padding and gold stitching, and the cape is the opposite: navy with gray accents. And she is FAST!
