Amazing music!! But what kind of Mandolin (?) is Mr. Brian Cromarty playing. I only know the small 4-string mandolin or double 4-string, but this is a bigger one.

It's an octave mandola (an octave below a mandolin). Usually has 4 double-courses (i.e. 8 strings in total, like a mandolin) but he has had it changed to take 4 strings only.
