Amazing, Doug. You - and all Red Rebels - bring me such hope. I'm a XR drummer and climate choir singer, and feel so privileged to be taking on the role of a Red in Bath very soon ❤✊

Lyrics in English - Love and war - Doug Francis She came down from darkened skies Light of hope burning in her eyes Told me she could never stay But I could love her anyway I was lost on that lonely road Kept on running for a heart of gold Turned out it was only made to rust And a heart of stone can only turn to dust Left me on that distant shore Holow belly hungry for more If you don't know what you're fighting for No difference she said between love and war Hey hey! We’ll live to fight another day Sometimes ... You just have to walk away Lost her on those dusty trails Stars will guide you when all else fails Wind blew cold and covered her tracks But you got to move on sometimes and don't look back I was lost on that lonely road Kept on running for a heart of gold Turned out it was only made to rust And a heart of stone can only turn to dust When enough is enough Ate my heart and left me for dead Sad song playing inside my head Blood runs cold on a lonely road But it makes you stronger or so I'm told Hey hey! Will we live to fight another day? Sometimes....• We just have to walk away When there's nothing left to say

Really helpful seeing all the different tableaux and movements. And also the variation in costumes - from a distance they all looks as one, but reassuring to see how much flexibility there is in fabric type and cut (pre costume making!). Thank you Doug!

It's just fabric. No sewing. You can make it yourself. Plus for the headpiece there's KZfaq video tutorials.

Hello Doug I Heard you say that the Brigade has to be minimum Number of 4 for performing. Is this correct?🙏
@dougfrancisco64013 жыл бұрын
I think that was just a suggested number, I have also performed with 3 of us and solo. 3 means you can have one lead and two following, like a triangle formation. x d

@dougfrancisco64013 жыл бұрын
I think also we advised minimum 4 for live actions, as things can get intense, again formation wise 5 may be better, but its also down to experience / confidence etc x

Japanese Butoh . . . a moving meditation . . . so beautiful
@White_Noise_Audio3 жыл бұрын
wouldn't quite say butoh. Butoh is more focussed on movement representing pain and suffering. After all, it was derived from the atomic bomb attacks in japan. I'd say it takes in elements from Jaque Lequocue, Rudolph laban and augusto Boal (as it is technically invisible theatre)

Some thoughts after watching this video (and the second one regarding the outfit). All the fabrics used to make these outfits appear to be man-made - (polyesters essentially made from petroleum) - and are dyed - also synthetic. Additionally, rather than use needle and thread the headdresses are made using a glue consisting of polymers (EVA's; EMA's). Which leaves me to surmise that the ecological impact in creating the material used for these costumes is not at all environmentally sound - without even considering the impact of the inevitable disposal of the fabrics! :(
@samanthaflanagan64092 ай бұрын
I thought that too but maybe they don't want to disrespect the original costume makers who weren't thinking about the environment at the time.

This is so pointless and does nothing. Why don't you get an engineering or chemistry degree and actually work on solving climate change instead of running around acting as mimes? Is this a way for useless people to feel useful? You ate adding CO2 to the air walking around btw.

SUPPLIES - Lot's of hot glue! Possible also a needle and red thread - Something firm and flexible (like carpet underlay). Enough to make two strips that go around your head - Red cloth to cover the two bands and tie in the back with length to spare - Red cloth to drape over the head and neck, under the bands. About the size of a square whose length and width are the height of your upper body - Lot's of (ideally different textured) strips of red cloth to tie and hang from the bands, all around the head covering. The longer the better (keep in mind, it'll be shorter once you loop it through the bands) - 2-3 red flowers to glue to the bands, on either side of the face - Very big red, sheer veil. At least a square whose length and width are the height of your upper body. It needs to be big because it needs to drape over the whole head dress and hang down to approximately your shoulders

SUPPLIES: - Skirt: large square-ish piece of fabric to wrap around legs and hips and tie in the back (or you could wear a pre-made skirt since it will be covered by the toga) - Toga: red, rectangular piece of cloth. Enough to drape over one shoulder and hang (back and front) to feet or ankles - Belt: red strip of cloth. Enough to tie around waist and tie in the back, over the toga. - Neckpiece: red triangular-ish piece of cloth to tie around neck. Enough to cover neck and chest if your shirt does not already do so - Wrists: Two floaty red strips of cloth to tie around the wrists. Enough to hang well over the hands - Red Clothes: long-ish sleeved red shirt (ideally high or turtle neck), floor length red skirt (if you choose to wear a pre-made one instead of the large piece of fabric, long red gloves. - Makeup: white face paint, black eyeliner or face paint (and ideally mascara), red lip color

You need to change yourself before attempting to change the world, because changing the corrupt human heart of which we all have leads to a life changing world. Your current form of activism is only a method of self seeking grandiosity for the self loathing that is experienced by activist that have made the free will choice of being God, and this is the destructive decision that leads to a life of mental health problems and contradictions in ideology that cannot be reconciled. The proof of this is in the tattoos, the cutting of oneself does not show respect for the splendour of the body.
