I think it's ok to encourage people to try to help themselves but the number of things that can go wrong beyond this video from bad contactors, breakers, clogged condensate lines, frozen coils from low refrigerant or dirty filters and so on. Sure, the capacitor can be a reason but 'knowing what you're doing' is part of why the electrician or HVAC tech exists.
@byronlentz482511 күн бұрын
First most electricians will not know anything about your A/C. Yeah go ahead and get in there, then after you f it up, give me a call.

@tctipps730013 күн бұрын
Maybe a bad capacitor? Or out of refrigerant?
@ovationhomerenovation12 күн бұрын
I will put out another vid ... but I don't see anything that would lead me to refrigerant ..... nothing is frozen on the lines etc. etc. So you may be onto something there with the capacitor. I have one here, let's see.

@ovationhomerenovation5 ай бұрын
I think it comes down to heating and cooling in 4 season climates. In areas where it is cooler, there is more insulation and a different set of materials ... likewise in the warmer, the ways to build are different. Mind you, these builders are not based in the US.

Shut the main ball valve off to water heater. If its a old gate valve turn it easily. Then unsrew the hot water supply side because its outlet is typically at the top of the tank. Then you will have to keep your hose held or in good area but open the main valve to blow out any sediment then close it and it should drain better. 🤙
@ovationhomerenovation7 ай бұрын
Too bad I can’t respond with a video. It would’ve got a whole lot of detail. Anyway, thank you for the detailed steps my man/woman. I appreciate it a lot. I’ll have another go at it when the control unit gets here. Need a shorter hose too 😅
@smitty_17 ай бұрын
Sedimaent is the devil! Open a hose bibe or faucet somewhere. Invest in a transfer pump. Mine drains a 50 gal tank in about 8 min-10 min tops.
@ovationhomerenovation7 ай бұрын
That’s exactly what I did. Minus the pump tho😮. Apparently I missed a pressure valve or something? Thanks for the comment, I’ll have another go at out when I get the gas control unit.

Open the blowoff the water might be air locked, I always open airlock when I drain heaters I never use a pump because I don’t have one on me

Clearly an amateur, drain a whole tank with that long garden hose. Of course the flow sucks. Use a transfer pump or do it with tank full.

Thank you @agyenapiah573! Poor backyard Definitely reach out. As long as that line can be traced, it can be tackled. Wait, it is not behind tile though, is it? That is the key this: Once you can see it, it can (almost) always be modified. Now that is the fun part.

Hello Cliff, love the video. The quality and editing are awesome. The only problem I experienced is the projection of your voice which could be a microphone problem. Please try and project your voice or change the mic for phase 2 and new videos. So far, I like it so if you see me knocking on your door for classes, don't be surprised.

Oh wow @AA-cy8ja, I appreciate the comment! Definitely hit us up. I will consider teaching a class or have a Q&A/ YT live just to ge some more face time. Sorry about the audio issue. Yeah the mic I had wasn’t the best, anytime I moved my head the audio seemed to shift. I till try to enhance the audio for this vid but I'll definitely pay more attention to Phase 2. Actually, thinking about it, do you have any recommendations for good wireless lav mics?

They make bits for tile.
@ovationhomerenovation10 ай бұрын
Indeed they do, this was a bit for tile, stone, concrete and something sifter ... wood maybe, I don't remember now.
@mikebeattie293910 ай бұрын
Try diamond whole saw bits to get through the tile. They are made in different sizes from 1/4inch up to 1-1/2.
@ovationhomerenovation10 ай бұрын
These are the kind that need to be brought to full speed before it touches the tile, right? Don't yours skate all over the tile that way?
@richardalfaro452910 ай бұрын
Those bits are single use no just buy new ones
@ovationhomerenovation10 ай бұрын
Does that depend on how they are used or the type of tile you drill into first? I'd sure this bit in particular has served more than 1 job before this. This was one of the Milwaukee masonry bits.
@richardalfaro45299 ай бұрын
@@ovationhomerenovation if I remember correctly there not meant to be used on more than one job but I guess if you cool them down you can use them twice
