Hi we are looking at building mud brick we have now decided due to shire building issues to add cement.trouble is we can't figure out a footing design to submit to shire.any ideas thanks Perth wa

I'd suggest looking at AS2870, but we have a 100mm concrete pad with 100mm mesh. If you are building on a cement slab then you should be right just following the standard, probably adding an additional 200mm under the walls.

We are traveling between Mexico and Argentina in search of our favorite retirement city. We retired about 18 months ago. I have been interested in cob and adobe building for 15-20 years. I am hoping wherever we decide to retire, I might give it a shot. My wife thinks I am insane, but I think it will be a fun project. We’ll see. Anyway, thanks for the video !
