My favorite version of this song. Debbie Boone had the "chart topper," but Didi Conn did a masterful version for the film. I believe she was originally from Brooklyn NY and was in both the Broadway and film versions of "Grease." A.multi-talented individual.. incredible..❤

You should absolutely try also this sad and romantic version of "Leaving". It is wonderful, just georgious! Chet recorded the best version of this song 1980 in Munich for the German Intercord label. Unfortunately was so far never re-released on CD, Digital or LP. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/erGGitOQqtHQZGg.htmlsi=Y99MsZoOUF8EzQYg

The best, most beautiful version of this standard. The quintessence of his trumpet playing and unique singing style. Sounds like an angel. 😊Chet was an icon of a jazz musician.

So if ever a teacher or a bandmate wants you to finish a piece/song by resolving it, you have a counterexample. What a legend! Rebel.

If you think this is funny, you NEED to watch the whole thing. I would, however, highly recommend NOT eating/drinking anything while watching though. There's a very high chance you'll either choke or spray whatever's in your mouth all over the place.

Amazing! My dad was in WW2; 1942 to 1945 . He had the greatest admiration for the British folks. He commented how in spite of their obvious poverty after the blitz, nice British ladies would offer”tea and crumpets “ to the troops. It was weak tea and bad crackers, but they presented it in style; gave what they had. My dad never forgot their kindness, their bravery or their common decency. 🇬🇧 😀

Its crazy that this worst conflict of mankind, WWII, happened because of one idiot - Adolf Hitler. 50 000 000 people died, because one moron wanted to rule the world.

This is June 6, 2024. Today is the 80th anniversary of D-Day. Thank God for peace and thank you to everyone who helped establish it in a world gone crazy by war. Thanks to a song like Danny Boy and how it was used among allied soldiers to keep hope and faith in the future alive.
