What do you think should happen to Driver Simon? F1 24 is not looking too promising, so should he just stay in the F1 23 universe until F1 24 is patched? Or go full Rick and Morty and fsu in F1 23 before hopping universes to F1 24's F2 season the moment the game drops? I'll let you decide as your support genuinely propels this series haha

Thank you first of hah😅 i think the way that f1 24 handeling is right now is horendus you shulde stay on f1 23, then move to f1 24. If the f1 23 career dose not go well for driver simon at the start of f1 24 he shulde go back to f2 then work his way up to f1. If it gose well he shulde continue on the team he was before. -Marki❤ Ps: i like the replay camera at the top left

You know what wulde be super fucking fun? Having an actual player be your enginer i guess you culde do that by playing on a privat multiplayer server and having the other person spectating. Maby that culde be the f1 24 series? Never seen any 1 else do it

Not to be too confusing but the race replays arent in VR as my gpu can't handle running the game above ultra low in VR. I like to re-record the race replays in a normal monitor as I can at least push the graphics to be more presentable. Let's hope F1 24 is more optimized for vr (not holding my breath for it lol)

Thanks for the kind words! I run with a 5700g processor, 32gb ram, and 3060ti. I would be able to play on high outside of vr but yeah the F1 games are not optimized for VR unfortunately. What are your computer specs? Im not sure whether to invest in a stronger cpu or gpu for VR racing atm.

really good series but whats goin on with the fov? is that adjustable for the recording or just have to deal with it when it looks good in vr?

The game only outputs the left eye view which is why the FOV is a little skewed. The FOV is definitely not noticeable while racing but this year's game requires me to crop in slightly to remove the frames that last year's game did not have. I'm really hoping F1 24 has optimized VR but I am not holding my breath for it lol

Wow, I just happend to have the exact same idea. Great video! Could not find the video of this sim setup anywhere. I am getting the same F GT Elite Lite, and plan to sell the GT Lite. Don't know where I should put it on the market though. Wondering if you also have the same thought.

Selling these rigs might be tricky due to their size and weight. If you live in a major city, I'd recommend putting it up on a local barter site like craigslist or facebook marketplace, simracing seems to be popping all around the world, even in non-motorsports region like California I see a lot of secondhand equipment. You can also hold on to it with the hopes that one of your buddies will be bitten by the bug and interested in starting their simracing journey and sell it them at a friend price for their first hit lol

I have a video in the pipeline that may interest you where I compare a budget ultrawide screen compared to (the now budget) quest 2 as they are both around $200 atm. They both have strengths and weaknesses but I always push ppl towards VR if possible as it really is the most immersive experience if you can get it set up properly. With that video, I can go over all my components, from PC to cables to connection.

I love the intro! I have the FGT- Elite 160 Ferrari Scuderia edition. I upgraded from some generic no name amazon one, and wow... I moved my entire computer/system to this cockpit and only sit in my other chair for working at my day job.

I'll add a heater right behind my seat to further simulate the engine heat and maybe squeeze in a camelback somewhere in there so I can drink hot water during a race

@@insimoniacgaming lol that would be fun. I mention the fan though for cooling, not just immersion. Having a fan blowing on your face in VR will make it much, much cooler and more comfortable and you might not get as much swamp butt in your seat 😉

Very good! Currently trying to find a new home for it amongst a couple of friends just getting into simracing. I'd still recommend this to most starter rigs like the Logitech g900 series. If you plan on upgrading to anything stronger than 8nm or stronger loadcell than an entry-level pedal like the CSLs i own, I do recommend saving up for an 8020 rig. But if you only plan on casually racing every one in a while with the logitech set, Id 100% recommend it for the casual simracers. Those who are handy can strengthen the frame with ratchet straps and even 3D printed brackets.

The VR in the F1 games is not optimized at all compared to playing on a screen. I haven't noticed how unoptimized its become since hopping back into my same rig with a screen after 2 years of only vr and literally every aspect of the game, from menus to loading screens to on-track performance, was waaaay smoother. I will say, its not nearly as bad as ACC which I avoid completely but compared to how amazing Project Cars 2 VR was (which is now almost 7 years old now), a modern AAA title shouldn't have any excuses. You can actually run PC2 without the Link cable without any hiccups and still run the graphics on higher settings. Im really hoping F1 24 improves upon the previous 2 game but knowing the pattern, there will most likely be one half step forward in some areas but a full step backwards in others.

I think you should turn off the halo column setting on the game, drivers and you don't see the halo column because of the vision line while racing but as a viewer just looking at it for the whole race is pretty..obstructing. Awesome vid tho.

Good video but really? Why spend money on a another static rig when you can get something like the yaw2. Motion + VR is the end all be all.

Thats the first I've heard of that company and for an all-in-one package, that really is an amazing price!! Why aren't other reviewers picking up on it, I wonder? Unfortunately for me, even an "affordable" motion rig like that is still waaay out of the budget for me, and I'm sure many other sim racers. The closest upgrade I can currently plan for are transducers on the seat and 4 corners of the rig, but I will definitely keep the yaw2 in mind for the future. Thanks for the heads up!
