To change the clutch slave cylinder do I have to drop the transmission or can it just be moved back enough to get to the cylinder? I have a 4 post lift but not a transmission jack.

Gosh.... I really could have used a bit more footage on some of those pain in the ass portions. That's what I need to know how to overcome. Good vid though.

Hey brother, I have a 92 explorer 2wd, it shifts smoothly into every gear and the clutch engages the fly wheel fine but when pressing on the clutch pedal it makes a clanking and swooshing sound. And I have to depress the clutch carefully when switching gears or else it clanks. Have any idea what it could be? Thanks!
@TheShanegto4 жыл бұрын
Jose Ruiz that’s a hard one haha, so I’d have someone under the car, take the little rubber plug out of the bellhousing so you can see the clutch engagement and then reproduce the noise and see if you can see anything

The slave cylinder went out on my 1991 ranger, also the throwout bearing has been sounding awful when depressing the clutch so i have been expecting this problem to come. Hopefully i can fix it in a weekend.

Also worth noting the clutch will be completely out with it in first and will not even move, I've experienced clutches that go to the floor a bad pedal assembly ect, but never one that fully release s and slips so bad

My clutch on my 1993 ranger 4.0 4x4 slips in every gear , it slips so bad it won't even move an inch in every gear even if you rev it high .it's the clutch? Slave cylinder? Flywheel? Any help u can advise me pleases
@TheShanegto4 жыл бұрын
ayoal has to be the clutch. When your foot isn’t on the pedal there should be pressure applied. Pressing the pedal only releases that pressure. So the fact that it won’t move at all makes me think that. I’d look through the service hole on the transmission and have someone press and release the clutch and watch the clutch movement through the hole. I’d say the clutch needs to be replaced.

I have had good results with Napa parts. I have 45,000 miles on the clutch now and recently had to pull the engine for a separate issue. The clutch looked in very good shape.

Hey man I was wondering if you could help me. I put a 18° camber on my 2004 Jetta M4 1.8T and I went over a speedbumb going 40 yesterday, and it felt like I hit a group of grannies playing ok it in the middle of the street. Now my car won't start and when I tried to do an oil check, I couldn't see any one my dip stick. Please help?

Why you change the fly wheel?

Vasco Iriondo a new flywheel is the same cost as resurfacing one so in my opinion it’s easier to just replace it.

Excuse me bro, can you tell me what's the problem in my clutch because when I release it in 1st or 2nd gear, it makes an awful and loud sound .... Thank you
@TheShanegto5 жыл бұрын
Xavier Perez that’s a tough one without actually being present. Generally if the noise only happens when the clutch is released (foot off the pedal) that usually means in my experience that it’s the throw out bearing. If it is only when In the gears 1 and 2 I’d suspect it’s a bearing within the transmission itself and is not clutch related. If you release the clutch in 3rd does it make the noise? How about reverse? If so it could just be the clutch pad itself.
@xavierperez28745 жыл бұрын
@@TheShanegto the noise presents sometimes, not always, but it feels like something is being rubbed, maybe if I can record the sound for you could you help me?... And in the reverse gear it doesnt make the sound..
