You didn't explain how one actually moves the piano, just how you prepare it for moving. The piano board, did it have wheels on it?

Note that the (decidedly non-musical) producers of this video COMPLETELY FORGOT about the pedal lyre. When they were taking the lid off, it was still attached, but when they returned to take off Leg 1, the pedals were gone. Hello? Hello? Anyone there?

It's a two man job. Have a big bag for all three legs. Wrap just one leg and place it in the middle and zip the bag. Done.

You didn't describe how to fold the pedals up against the bottom of the piano...

This video didn't show me how to move a piano. It showed me how to pack a piano.

I agree with you about removing the fall board, lid and hinges, but what is protecting the keys?? Take it one more step and remove the action and put in a protective case made for it. With all those things off and out of the piano case you end up with a lower center of gravity and a MUCH easier move. Nice video and thanks for sharing !

Just to add to this, you can get lift tables that lifts diagonal to make this a one person job :p

Have you seen what customers are saying about us? "Grant - you're an absolute STAR! I don't know how I would have been able to help my daughter move from the city over to Waiheke, from the other side of the world, if you hadn't been so obliging, patient, helpful, accommodating, agreeable, understanding, decent ... a-a-a-and I think I've just run out of commendatory adjectives... !! But seriously ... you have been brilliant to deal with and I can't thank you enough for your reassuring attitude, the efficiency of your team and, last but not least, your very good-natured sense of humour!!
