Superb unusual travel video, unexpectedly loved the singing show! the tobogan run is a swiz, way to expensive to pay P & O for that ride? departing Funchal in the night looks fantastic. Must be hilarious watching that "silent disco", looks an excellent cruise. Just got to go! yes, and its starting 4th Nov 2023, can't wait, thank you for this vieo.

The weather in November was beautiful, especially if you travel to the south you bus from Santa Cruz. In Tenerife and Gran Canaria it was the high 20s. Your times on Iona will be different to ours, as we were on Azura.

Hi, really enjoyed your video and the one on Britannia in the Caribbean 2023. I would be grateful if you could let me know what equipment you use to shoot your clips as they’re really good. I’m considering a GoPro 11 or an Insta360 x3 but can’t decide. Many thanks for any advice.

Thank you Alan. I enjoy recording all of our holidays. I used go pro for Ziplining and snorkeling. For all other clips, I used my Samsung Galaxy phone S21 with 128GB memory, as I prefer to download my recording in 2k or 4k for shorter videos. We love cruising and also did the Mediterranean on Wonder Of The Seas last year and will be travelling from Southampton to the Med at the end of the month on Arvia. Watch out for that video in late June.

@@neilbagshaw many thanks for your quick and informative response. I’m on Sky Princess to the Med in September so looking to make some memories. I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max but looking to supplement it with an action camera. I’m leaning towards a GoPro so thank you 😄

@Alan I can't recommend Go Pro enough. It's great for action shots, and anything involving water. The picture quality is excellent ( even though I have an old Go Pro. Enjoy cruising on Princess. We havnt done that yet. We are also away in September, travelling for the first time on Msc to the Norweigan Fjords.

@@neilbagshaw we cruised on Princess for the first time last year and thought they were great with regards to customer service, entertainment and food. We’ve done Royal Caribbean to the Med and that was superb and also P&O Iona during a staycation. On Britannia October 2024 to the Canaries and then hopefully do the Caribbean in 2025. Not sure if it will be on Britannia or Arvia.

It's time to retire now boys and girls, the shows have dumbed down a lot now, the quality of the backing band is dubious to say the least!, what voices that were there are now long gone!. And the ripping the skirt off routine is a stage stunt suited only to much younger and more toned women and though Cheryl Baker is still a very pretty woman, the stunt now makes her look very undignified!. The difference between the look and the sound of Bucks Fizz on top of the pops, circa 1983 and A run down Butlins holiday camp in 2022 is very, very stark indeed!!.

I got tickets for this gig when it was originally scheduled but then it kept getting postponed cos of pesky Covid and I couldn’t make this date either cos of having to isolate due to an op. Thanks for the footage.

Were those ladies late coming in during New Beginning, was it the first number, or had they come back from the loo lol. There’s a hilarious vid on Facebook from the Make Believe tour a few years ago when Mike singles out a bloke in the audience for not singing along to Rose of Cimarron from his solo album, the running gag being that everyone who does will get a free drink and their money back at the interval, yeah right lol. Anyway, he made this bloke stand up and says you didn’t sing, you went out for a wee didn’t you! The bloke says I was ringing my mum cos she’s poorly, Mike’s mortified, head in hands! He’s there I’m so sorry…are you serious? Then the bloke grins and goes no, so then Mike’s like you sod 😂 and tells him he better buy the album 😂 Then Cheryl and Jay give him stick too when they come back on stage 😂

He lives in Italy and due to the length of the tours they were doing, he was spending very little time at home with his family so decided to leave the band. It's the second time he has left the band as he was part of the original line-up when the band first formed, before the Eurovision contest. Bobby Gee joined and the rest is history!

I just saw Donny in Pantoland 2021 at the London Palladium. He's just as good as in his heyday. He did a short medley of Osmond hits and got everyone up and dancing to his new record. I'll always have a soft spot for Donny and actually got in a lift with him in Harrods on the same day I was going to see him in concert at the Rainbow.(late 70s). He held the door open for my mother. So charming and so handsome he was with Jimmy and a security guard and I followed him to the China department, got his autograph and had a few words. Happy memories.
