Thanks man! I’d love to, I’ve reached out to them asking if they’d send me one based on the reach of this review (one of the most viewed ruroc reviews on YT) but so far they’ve blanked me - can’t justify paying out of pocket again at the moment as moving house, so probably not 😦

The nose bridge visibility is subjective, and depends on the comfort position you place the helmet. I've a Go Pro mounted on the chin, and while I do see the forward edge of that, I do not see the nose bridge, with or without the camera. The peripheral is what sold Ruroc to me. Being able to notice 95% of my helmet-less vision in the peripheral, outshines every one of my other "big name" lids....and I do have too many! The 4.0 comes with an "improved" cushion system. For me, that meant it simply did not fit. The crush of the pads on my face, was horrendous, and I put it back in the box, not to be worn again for nearly a year. Looking at the website, it dawned on me that every Atlas shell used the same MOUNTING system for the liners, and looking at the STREET pads, in contrast to the CARBON pads that come with the 4.0 Carbon, gave me the notion to order STREET pads. And , I'm glad I did! The booger oozing face squeeze was gone, and the helmet now slipped on smooth and easy, but retained ALL of the contact points around my weird head shape. It has become my favorite lid to wear for long distance riding, due to comfort and fit.
@TorOnTourАй бұрын
Glad to hear your ups and downs with this helmet, it’s been a long while since I made this and living with it has made me appreciate it and also notice its shortcomings more and more as time has gone on

Great review. Nailed all the key points pretty well. I’ve been cross shopping helmets in this style. Wanted a Simpson but found them too expensive for what you’re getting. Scorpion Convert FX was the current choice due to price. But this now looks like a solid option to spend a bit more.

I’d recommend it, has its flaws but it’s a pretty solid choice

Great video! I took the plunge and sold my car 12 months ago and chose to live the bike only like for commuting. It was tough, but cold hands was easily was the worst part. Hand guards combined with hippo hands and some heated gloves COMPLETELY changed the game for me. That and a small windscreen for keeping wind off my neck. I heard a saying back in the day that there’s no such thing as bad weather, just bad gear, and I couldn’t agree more!
@TorOnTourАй бұрын
glad you enjoyed! As a fellow all weather rider I learned exactly the same way. I cant believe how much difference handguards made to making sure heated grips or heated gloves keep their warmth locked in thanks for watching :) let me know of any feedback or other things you'd like to see!

Bought my first Harley a few months ago - it just had to be a Sportster 1200 for all the reasons you give in this video. Its a 2004 - first with the rubber mounts, still has a carb. I've done the cafe racer thing, I've done the Euro touring thing, but now I'm 68 the Harley is perfect for me. Just like me its an old plodder with character in spades.
