This a special kind of person that creates artistry in a functional piece of equipment I know that most of them are sold as collectors but if you really take them apart any of his pieces will fit in a horses mouth correctly and function the way they should

Thank you sir. Without function the rest is worthless.

Hey so I am a big fan if I may… a little constructive criticism but your video setting need to be adjusted for quality so they upload correctly and it so it is larger also use descriptive titles instead of just workshop Wednesday. Keep it up!

Not sure if you’ll get this being an older video but how do you go about making the bands for different size boots? Do you have multiple jigs?
@Thedogs53 ай бұрын
Great channel by the way 👍🏼
@wilsoncapron18912 ай бұрын
So I really don’t change band size for boot size. I have a man’s and a woman’s. There is the extreme case in a size 13-14 mens might need a little longer. EE width requires a different form. Those are wider at the back and have to be shaped properly to begin with.

Yes sir done it before the tongue. I have a wooden bowl from Rio grande that is used to some buckles.

I really like the part where solder silver to spurs... something I've heard can't be done for going on 10 years is soldering silver to steel. Myth-busters moment here for me and I can't wait to try it out. I'd guess it's the Dandix that's been the problem. Anyhow, thanks!
@wilsoncapron18919 ай бұрын
Yes sir it’s certainly possible and several ways to do it. Glad you liked it.

Hey mate ... don't know if it's deliberate or not ... I'm hazarding a guess it is ... but @ 2:58 it appears your template is offset to the rib that the shank clamps onto to lean the shank inwards toward the horse ... if so ... this would appear to suit the right boot & if so would you turn it upside down & reverse image to do the left boot or do you have a separate template ... Cheers mate great channel ...

is there a finish you put in the steel, so it slows it from rusting?
@wilsoncapron1891 Жыл бұрын
Blueing will help but you have to put an oil or something like a wax to seal the metal from the environment. I think a regular wiping with an oil is probably the best.

With all respect, to the cowboys, I don't understand why the media inflate "called cowboys" like this one, Buster's. It will look very small next to the real VAQUEROS. It's like here in Mexico they inflated "Canelo Álvarez" as the great "BOXER" and it's a shame for Mexican boxing!!! I highly respect the work of WILSON CAPRON!!! But I don't respect what this imitation cowboy does...
@markmahnken640923 сағат бұрын
No doubt you could out vaquero Buster the cowboy or maybe you have too much time on your hands and need to get a real Job. I'm sure if you call Buster you could show him how it's supposed to be done in person.

Interestingly, the chisel is similar in shape to Lindsay's box-shaped gold inlay template. can you explain if we inlay with a wide area? i mean how to form a trench in a wide area to hold the wire in place. maybe with a little picture of the ditch shape, my english is very bad,😁😁
@wilsoncapron1891 Жыл бұрын
No worries Mulan on the English. I have several extensive posts on my Patreon page that explains the inlay process. Yes sir you have to sign up there but it saves me from doing a bunch of work over and over. I hope you find the info helpful.

@@wilsoncapron1891I'm a little frustrated when testing with copper wire. i cut a circle to test the inlay. I failed how to form a groove in the middle area of the circle and ended up falling apart. is there a video about the flow in the media rather wide?
@wilsoncapron189111 ай бұрын
@@mulanjamilah7849 I think there are several sources for this type of inlay Mulan. I do have some on my Patreon page. Sam Alfano probably has some as well.
