Humans don't deserve cats sometimes, but they choose to stick with us anyway. <3

A wonderful elderly and physically challenged kitty rescue home in County Down in NI called TC's Forever home Is amazing. Highlighting them would be brilliant.

I had my loving poodle “Nacho” put down for the reason. Cancer! We kept him as long as “he” could. It was time! Broke our hearts to say goodbye. Really bad. Thank you for your story.

All puppies pee and poo indoors until they learn but it takes a while. You don't hit them for doing that, that is both very lazy and very wrong and does not work out in the end. Love your puppy because happiness IS a warm puppy.

Unfortunately, we, in Northern California have a few rescue organizations, but they’re not very robust. Not enough volunteers.

Weirdly judgey take from Dr Scott about struggling to hold your tongue when somebody who was by the sounds of it too disabled to care for their cats did exactly the right thing in bringing them in because what else were they meant to do Scott, just dump them? Keep hold of them despite their health deteriorating because they couldn't care for them? Being judgemental towards people who bring their cats in for adoption is really bad because it dissuades people from doing so leading to worse outcomes. The biggest thing they did wrong was not bringing them in sooner.

I had a maine coon that was harness trained and it was so fun to take him outside. We didn't do much "walking" but he loved to chase down autumn leaves. Thanks for all the work you're doing and for sharing the experience with the world.

Glad to see this channel! Hope you will address the needs of cats who live on past their guardians, or whose guardian has went into adult care... All too often we see cats & dogs, often seniors themselves, who have lost their beloved guardian and are dumped unceremoniously either outdoors or into a shelter by children searching the couches for money and caring not one whit for their family members... fuzzy FAMILY! Are there will forms that address caring for our pets? (I'm in the middle of this right now.) Are there recommended ways of rounding up future cat / dog guardians so that we can ensure our beloved fuzzy children are cared for? Just a suggested topic, but one that's important since our lap-warmers cannot speak for themselves!

Ellie has sad and worried looking eyes, poor cats only God knows what they've been through. Shame on the people who left them behind, all I have to say is that what goes around comes around....you'll get yours at some point, you'll see when you put out that bad Karma it will come back to you!

really important to not shame people who give up their cats to a shelter, because people will end up dumping cats in a box in the middle of a field if they feel like they will be punished. Not justifying their behavior, just point out that shaming people is not helpful.

Wouldnt it be great if owners didnt put them down just because they have gotten old. Look after them ffs. I took my old age cat to the vets to be put down when she could no longer walk, or even sit up. It was heart breaking but she couldnt move.

What a beautiful story. The ending was so heartbreaking. Our chocolate labrador is 13 this year and we are fully aware that she is now slowing down and she has lots of white fur now. She is still the cheeky, playful, hungry girl we know and love. She has had the best care and the vet is always impressed that she is always within a kilo or two of her ideal weight. We are taking her to the Hebrides for 2 weeks in the Autumn. She comes everywhere with us. She's been to Devon, Somerset, Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Lake District, several Scottish Islands and Wales. We now spend several weeks every year in Wales. She loves the woodlands and beaches, she loves the snow too. Her favourite food is anything except celery. She barks when she hears the mice living in a dry stone wall in our front garden but there wasn't a peep from her when someone stole the top of the wall in the middle of the night! She has never had to stay in kennels. We found her in a dog rescue, when she was 7 months old, and we vowed to never put her in kennels ever again. If we go abroad she stays with our family. She is our family. I'm stocking up on tissues for when the inevitable comes along. Sending love to everyone who saw this story and blubbed all the way through ❤❤❤
