I got a FREE John Deere F620 WOW it is outstanding. I just had to replace a few safety switches. I have owned BIG John Deere tractors for decades but this is my first small mower. I must say over the years my John Deeres have stood the test of Time. I have a 4x4 2040 and a 2030 and an old model 40 ( I run an old baler with it) But never had one of their small mowers its fantastic !!!!

Broom finish is much safer than a polished. I agree, a light broom finish is best.

Got mine (F935)76" swept spindle for free. The worst mower ever made, everything was so under engineered. Fixed mine with non JD parts, now one of the best mowers, I'll never sell it. Ps mine came with differential lock lever on front of trans axle, simple foot linkage to make functional . Also second hydraulic spool under right fender. I'm working to make light duty front loader. Good luck 🤞

I have a 30x30 from the same company. They're just a couple miles from my house. I opted for their roof insulated. Front 10x10 rollup and 7x6 back. The slab was finished polished concrete. I etched it and sealed clear. I also want a lean to. Overall that did a great job with the building. I'm running my own electricity.

Hey Im a Quirky guy too. Ive got an old sweetheart F935 with a 72-inch cut as well. I would like to find a steering cylinder for mine if you know of a parts source. I was told the original one can be serviced and rebuilt. That remains to be seen. We both agree that the unit is not trouble free but it is a certified badass.

I have an old jd f725 gas engine mower that I absolutely love I paid $400. For it and used it for 7 years then the engine finally died. It’s a liquid cooled Kawasaki twin cylinder gas. I’m wondering if I can replace it with an air cooled one. I love the front mounted deck because I have so many trees and bushes to mow around and it eliminates most all weed whacking and it’s so well balanced with the axel in the middle it can hold a steep grade sideways without acting like you’re driving a shopping cart, lol.
@halcyon1030Ай бұрын
Your mower can be sold for parts and you can get more for it in parts than you paid for it initially. I actually want to buy the steering cylinder if you decide to sell it for parts.

I did this on my Cj7 and it took a lot longer than I thought it would. Trimming the hood to the proper clearance took a while. The entire time I’m thinking (I hope I don’t jack this up).

After having them for awhile, what is your long term thoughts on them? - I have a LJ with the same hood/fender setup that I did a LS swap on. Had to remove the hood catch as well. I purchased the same hood pin setup .

My experience is that they need periodic adjustment and re torquing. Even with loctite they seem to vibrate loose, and lose alignment. However I think they are some of the best looking options on the market so I will put up with it.

30 X 40 X 14 vertical You’re spot on. (6) windows Two front two on each side leaving back wall for a mezzanine thus the fourteen ft. height. Double bubble insulat. After market 9 light entry door. (Lowes) 12’ X 12’ hoist type door. $23k Alan’s Installed last fall. *This is not advised however, this is building number two and I excavated myself using a builders level installed cap block pier’s on 5’ centre’s compacted levelled crush/run base prior to having buildings set. Also note I purchased a plated compactor from Harbor Freight $600 and compacted to my heart’s content. I found this cheaper than rent due to being able to trade off to my concrete contractor for some of the labor. With both buildings setting on 3.5” solid cap block I had poured a 5.5” thick 4000 PSI slab steel reinforced using hog fencing from Tractor Supply. This is heavy actually cheaper and puts regular concrete wire to shame. An extra pour of 6 additional inches base where a lift will live. We love the outcome and Alan’s was good to work with. WARNING! Any modifications to the metal structure voids the warranty. In other words I now have no warranty according to the individual representing the builder because I choose to be responsible for installing my own entry door. So be because the builder doors are simply trash. I know I did install the factory door on my first metal building. Good luck to everyone and as far as I’m concerned these buildings are the best bang for the buck if done right. My buildings passed all local requirements upon their completion. Do your own due diligence. Good luck out there… Jerry

I have a newly built 40x42x16 which is not yet insulated and my stove is not connected yet but I have a 75k kerosene torpedo heater which I just use to take the chill off where I am working. Seems to be semi adequate for now and will raise my area from 36 to mid 40s within a reasonable timeframe... Next weeks predicted deep freeze may be another issue though.

@jimmykale6 ай бұрын
Thanks for the support. Yeah I sold it. Really trying to find an 97-99 two tone vortec 454. I loved the square body, but power, brakes, and towing performance were lacking. I probably should’ve kept it and modified it but I’ve got enough projects with the jeep and the house.

Can you tell me what size lift you have at the time of this video and what size tires before you swapped to the bigger ones that you have? I have an LJ with 4in lift and 35s. I’d like to get the highlines and I am hesitant because of possibly too small of tire at this moment. Thank you. Your Jeep looks great with the new fenders.
