One of me favourite guitar pieces. Do you also play some J.S. Bach @Melinda Toth ? BWV 565 Toccata un Fugue in D-moll by any luck? 😇 I also play the guitar. Mostly Celtic trad Music though; flatpicking and backing with a plectrum. Cheers from Brussels! She’s a lovely guitar too. Spruce? Made by a fine luthier surely.

The whole time I'm watching this I'm thinking "How great would this be if there wasn't so many useless camera editing" . I really hate when the camera man over edits, it's just distracting from a great performance.

Oooo... I loved the way you did the tremolo part! TOTALLY UNEXPECTED, but totally awesome also! a wrong note...insignificant, no passion, inexcusable, and your sounded very passionate to me! (and you barely bumped the e string)YAY!!!

I always find multiple performances of a piece I'm learning to see what the possibilities are for voicing, tempo and volume dynamics. This is the only performance I need for this piece, regardless of the occasional technical errors. Very well interpreted, you really captured the story this song tells, and that's the whole point, isn't it?

Melinda: I've been thinking of buying Eotvos' book of the Goldberg Variations; from all indications, including your words, I get the impression that I should. I'm currently working on the Aria, using the free transcription I found on the Internet (A tuned to G, low E tuned to D), however, in the 3rd measure of the Aria, Eotvos seems to be working up at the 5th (or 7th fret), and leaving out the low E (2nd fret) the low note that starts the 3rd measure, so maybe my arrangement isn't quite the same as his. Hmmm... I enjoy your playing; it's very nice. --Dan
