You’re treating homosexuality as a sin but who decided that ? God. Did he gave any reasons for it to be a sin ? No, he just decided it was like that and everyone followed it, but it’s actually very messed up to throw people into hell just because they love each other.

It has been my experience that I was born gay. I joined the Mormon to end my SSA , which they promised, if I joined the church, got married in the temple, go on a mission and have kids. Sixteen years on, married with five great children, my sexual orientation has not changed one iota. Period. Maybe it is otherwise for other people. The JW’s now say being gay is an infirmity. Let the suicides begin.

Grateful for this bible study.... Gained a lot of knowledge. For one explanation you use e i s e g e s i s which means you're forcing the Bible to agree with you on drinking..... Proverbs 14:12 your rationalizing drinking your justifying things all the way to destruction. Noah consumed alcohol and a curse fell on his grandson. Lot use? Alcohol and committed sexual immorality. Corinthians 6:9 states, "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the immoral, nor idolaters,drunkards.. nor adulterers, nor sexual perverts, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God".

This isn't even a religious issue. Unlike names or titles, pronouns aren't personal (they're descriptors) and therefore any demand by someone as to what language we should use to refer to them in the third person is nothing but a narcissitic attempt to force society to adopt their assumed identity.
@theworld6710

Incorrect. They are personal. You can always assume what a person’s gender may be, but you don’t know. It’s more sensible to simply respect the pronouns given them than make ridiculous assumptions.

Former practicing lgbt here now, Christian. I can't say if it's something that was in me from the beginning due to the fallen state of our flesh or if it happened during development. Either way, though, Jesus says we're to be born again, at which point nothing we are or were matters anymore because we're now found in Him and not ourselves. New creations through Christ.

if youre born again, has he changed your sexuality? If you read 1 Corinthians 6:9-20, it says that homosexuals dont go to heaven, but then says we are one with christ and his spirit lives in us. If the spirit lives in us, should we not be more like him? Does that not mean that our sexuality will resemble a holy sexuality? If so, then why can gay people never change, no matter how much they fast or pray or read scripture? If you become born again, should that not mean that your sexuality needs to be renewed?
@PathBack81

@nate8932 1 Corinthians 6:11 after referring to all the sins that keep us from Heaven Paul mentions homosexuality. He then follows up with "And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God." Our spirit was renewed and washed clean not our flesh. Our spirit is what's going to Heaven. Jesus spoke a lot about temptation and resisting it. Those are all carnal and flesh related. As long as we live in these bodies we will have temptations, trials, lust, good days and bad. That's just part of the human experience. Temptation will never go away as long as we're living but Jesus said with every temptation He will give us a way of escape. What I desire isn't what's important. The fact I've put my trust in Jesus is all that matters
@nate8932

@@PathBack81 right, but jesus offers salvation from bindage does he not? If you read the end of that chapter it goes past just fighting your temptation, it says that christ lives in you and makes you a new person. Being attracted to men is not a physical thing, its a mental and spiritual thing. Wanting to be loved and held by a man is something that is spiritual. If he made you knew, why would that desire still be there?Why would you still want to unite in the flesh and become one spiritually, as paul writes later in that chapter, with a man if god has renewed your mind?

@nate8932 We're set free from law and death through Christ, not temptations and our fleshly desires. Once you understand that as long as we're in the flesh, we'll be tempted to do things that are against God's design for us, then you can start to walk in the freedom that we already have. We're born again with a new identity in Christ. And again it's our spirit that's made right with God, not our flesh. Big difference

Well we are all born sinners. WHEN God created Adam and Eve our great parents they were perfect no sin no sinful desires . When they disobeyed God eating from the tree of good and evil they fell , and died spiritually and physically and acquired a sin nature. We inherit a sin nature from Adam and eve because we were in their dna. We were all dead in our sins. In our sin nature is the potential for all sin. Just depends on what we are exposed to evil desires to lie cheat steal sex sins ect. There is no redemption for our sin nature. We cannot get back to a right relationship with God through Adam whoses father was God . That was severed . So we were all stuck in Adams family Slaves to sin. When we repent of our sins receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior under the blood of Christ who died on the Cross for us we are no longer in the Adams family. We are now born again filled with Gods Holy Spirit We are given a new nature . Our old man old nature is dead we are not slaves to our old nature any more. We have a new idenity in Christ . We are new Creatures in Christ. He is the second Adam because his father is God and he is sinless.

There it fell in, and I saw it no more!” - John Bunyan Thank you for the reminder of the joy we experience, Mikey, when we remember our sins are removed and God remembers them no more. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us. What an excellent message! I read an article from Tim Challies that plays into what Andrew spoke about today. Here is a little snippet. “…this very moment your discontentment is not actually with what you have, with what you have accomplished, or with what you have earned-your discontentment is with God and with what he has provided. Ultimately, your discontentment is Godward. And such discontentment is not resolved by being given more. The only “more” you need is more of God’s Spirit, God’s values, God’s character. It’s sanctification you lack, not success. It’s holiness that stands between you and contentment, not accomplishment.”

Adultery, divorce and remarriage, fornication are as common in Evangelicalism as in the world. And after embracing heterosexual mortal sin Evangelicalism will inevitably embrace homosexual mortal sin. You can not win a war that is lost already. Be honest. The answer to the question is: Yes and no. We were meant to be straight. "Straight and narrow is the gate that leads to life"; and straight means sexually, too. Yet, at the same time, we were all born into sin (original sin). We were all born wrong; and yes, even so-called 'straight' folks were born wrong. God gives all things to overcome, and many of these things are sins to Him. If you think you were born 'gay', you were meant to overcome it; and even more so, you were meant to help others to overcome it and become 'new creatures in Christ'. Besides, Jesus is the only man who will ever love you despite all of your sins. Our God is a jealous God; He's not going to share any of you with another man, especially a mere mortal man. Amen (smile).

When I incurred a major financial loss years ago, it was amazing to me how people responded. Not what I expected. Some, who I thought would try to shame me, didn't! They offered to help and encouraged me! The people who I thought would be hurting for me and offering to help, didn't, they either avoided me or told me how I was to blame for my situation, then they went on to explain how prosperous they are and why. I wonder why they felt so quick to shame me for financial losses when there own lives weren't so perfect. I think, in their minds, their problems....chronic sickness, failed relationship, or a job loss perhaps, well there was someone else or something else to blame for their problems. But yes, my problems were/are mostly my own fault.

This should be a one second video: Yes. For him to say this is about his views on sexuality is a smokescreen and cunning Satan-like diversion. This question s not about whether you 'welcome all' into your church or not (those of different sexualities are welcome, but they will however be faced with some tough decisions as their faith develops, like all of us, as they turn their life to Christ). No, to say disliking Andy's disregard for the Bible means you are homophobic is a travesty and Andy knows it. He unhitched the Old Testament and parts of the new Testament he doesn't like. That is an open and shut case - he is not preaching the Bible. The gospel is totally irrelevant without the back story or an appreciation of who God is.
