I love OHP but I love behind the neck presses even more. I switched about 2 years ago and so far what I noticed- bigger triceps(long head), more trap activation, easy to spot(catch in squat position), better mobility gains and no loss of strength when trying standard OHP. Just hit 255 a couple weeks ago

if youre gonna do that then put less weight and dont use the bands.. that defeats the whole purpose of the squat..
@Swoleseph3 ай бұрын
Not really. It allows you to use heavier weight and your CNS becomes adapted to it. Thus progressing you into using that same weight without the bands. Or you could do reps without the bands and then once you fatigue you can use the bands to force out more.

Oh KZfaq Algorithm! So now I will watch 7yo push press :D If you were placed barbell on shoulders in proper front rack position, push-phase would be way more efficient :)
@mikeyxtra674 ай бұрын
Yeah, the algorithm makes no sense, I also was recommended this 7yr old video when most of the videos I watch are just car repairs and reviews and watch movement rebuilding.

One thing i fear is getting old, reaching your peak maxes, the point to where your maxes start to go down, death, so scary, nobody knows what happens afterwards
@Swoleseph7 ай бұрын
Not scary for me. I have faith in Jesus & have been promised ever lasting life. My maxes don’t define me or complete me, but I’m grateful to have reached those milestones and will one day look back and be happy I did them. The point of reaching your strength goals isn’t just to say you can pick up the most weight, but that you can continue forward despite the challenges life throws at you. That you can adapt and over come.
