What is the best option for soft hand full color with no outline? I recently got some samples of DTF transfers from you guys but it has a very heavy paper feel. I prefer Goof Proof but looking for best option with full color. Any help is appreciated!

Sorry, we use our own proprietary formulas for inks and film to ensure consistent quality with the unreliable supply chains that are a challenge in the DTF printing industry. We ensure our customers only receive a quality product that they can count on being consistent in application and print quality from order to order. We appreciate the offer though.

Thanks for this! By far the best halftone instruction. Question, will it last longer like the standard solid print?

Thank you for the kind words, we're so happy we could help out! Dave spent a lot of time testing different halftone methods and settings along with the wash testing with our Research and Development department for the minimum line requirements to ensure quality results before filming this video. With the dots set to the minimum size mentioned in the video (0.018") you should have the exact same durability as a solid print.

Can you use the transfers on 100% Cotton, or does it only adhere well with fabrics that have a percentage of synthetic material? Can you use a regular iron instead of a heat press?
@transferexpress

Yes, our goof proof screen printed transfers can apply to cotton, polyester & cotton/poly blended shirts on any fabric color. Learn more and get free samples here: www.transferexpress.com/heat-applied-transfers/goof-proof-screen-printed-transfers For best results, we don’t recommend applying with an iron. You’ll need a heat press to be able to achieve the accurate temperature, time and pressure settings for a professional printed result.

Could you recommend a printer, ink jet or sublimation? Which is better? I have a cricut and want to take my business further so dont mind an investment. Id lobe some recommendations for types or models od printers. Thanks
@transferexpress
@transferexpress 8 күн бұрын
Fantastic question! To help out the best, we would need to know a little bit more about what you're looking to achieve in the next step of your business. Do you need immediate turnaround on printing projects? Is quality important to your customers? What are the typical quantities you're producing? Do you already have a heat press? We've seen many small and at-home businesses take on too much financial risk with at-home printers and setups that are a challenge to maintain and struggle to produce professional quality results. While sublimation printers are some of the most affordable, you're limited to only polyester garments and light colored fabrics. Direct To Garment printers are limited to 100% cotton and can be expensive to maintain. Of course with at-home DTF printers you have the versatility of printing on any fabric or color but lower cost machines struggle with quality that may lose customers and inconsistent supply chains, as well as maintenance issues similar to DTG printers. Without proper ventilation and exhaust systems you may be introducing harmful chemicals to your workspace. The white toner printers have a time consuming process that is not the best fit for higher-quantity work and get costly with supplies and materials. While still utilizing your cricut and HTV for smaller jobs you can purchase custom transfers in a variety of finishes or features (screen print / direct to film / etc) which can give you the flexibility for any quantity, any fabric, any finish while maximizing your profitability and financial risk. We see most decorators find success with this method expanding from a hobby or limited in-house capabilities that match the quality of what the larger, national print shops are offering. A great example is this video which would describe the process to expand your capabilities to offer something like screen printed finishes with the equipment you already have and maximize your profit while still operating on a very lean business model: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/j7aSfbSSlZnFaaM.html You can also learn more about some of the heat transfer types you can utilize (and get free samples) just by creating an account here: www.transferexpress.com/marketing-tools/free-samples

Hey guys, new to dtf/dtg / and so on, being screen-printer for more than 40 years. To the question if I see a difference on the final print dtf vs set ; I do see a difference on the fine detail but I didn't know which one is the dtf >> but for certain the one on the left side was much better detail. Can you answer what process was used for the design on the left side, which again had the better detail? I'm referring to the images on the minute 9:30ish
@transferexpress
@transferexpress 13 күн бұрын
That comparison at 9:30 in this video the DTF print is on the left. It’s slightly clearer as the ink doesn’t spread when pressed like how Screen Printed Transfers do. While it is minimal, those very small logos and type are clearer. Screen print transfers to sit down in the fibers of the shirt more (like traditional screen printing) so the texture of the shirt can be seen as well. We have all of the minimum like requirements as well as negative space (show through) minimums here: www.transferexpress.com/videos/line-thickness-tool-and-print-minimums

Fantastic question! Depending on the colors in the design, I typically will reserve HTV for one-offs or for quantities 12 and under with single color, simple artwork (although I’ve even used screen printed transfers for orders as low as 6 (intricate and large prints with a left chest print on the same gang sheet) With the affordability of custom DTF transfers (outside of the colors of vinyl you don’t have stocked) I typically will use them even for those low quantity orders. Of course for specialty fabrics (nylon, etc) HTV may be a better choice. For many, it comes down to time, if you have the time to weed and cut, 100% maximize the profit on the order with HTV! Especially if you already have the equipment. If you’re pressed on the hours in your day, simplify with screen print transfers (perfect for when a client wants that plastisol print look & feel) or DTF.

@transferexpress

While water based screen printing ink does give you the softest hand feel you may be surprised by the hand feel of screen printed transfers like these goof proof transfers or the screen printed transfers from stahls.co.uk. We have offered water-based transfers in the past, and they're fantastic, however they are quite a bit more cost than typical screen printing. The big benefit of waterbased transfers is the adhesives to print on the tricky synthetic fabrics like spandex and nylon

What’s the standard height of a name on a short sleeve shirt? What if it’s a long name and have to fit it at 3” width? Do you make different length names of a team the same height?
@transferexpress
@transferexpress 22 күн бұрын
Great question! Whenever printing names, it's best to lock all of them to a common height, as the length of names change based on the amount of characters. Choosing the right font can really help too and make it look more impactful constrained by the smaller print location of a sleeve, and the height of your text will vary based on what you choose. There's a few things you can do: 1. Set the longest name to 3" wide and find the height and keep all other names to the same height. 2. Lock the height to something around 0.5"-.75" high (depending on the font and longest name) and condense any name that is wider than 3" 3. Use our team builder in our Easy View Online Designer and set the max width to 3" (you dont need to add a full layout, you can add just text) it will automatically condense longer text as needed as well as the ability to easily select different fonts to see which one looks best for your project. It really depends on the font and the longest name you have on the roster, unless you condense it to fit
