I started working on my handwriting six years ago. I practice Spencerian cursive. I learned cursive in grade school over fifty years ago and it's the most comfortable way of writing for me. For those who want to try a fountain pen but are afraid to buy an expensive pen, I suggest the Pilot Varsity and Zebra disposable pens. They may be cheap, but they are a low risk way to get into the fountain pen world.

I would love to try the monoline italic but many searches don't seem to bring up the style you discussed, is there a link to this actual one please? It would be much appreciated. :)

Here in Europe we still learn cursive script in school. It is so much fast to write and speed matters! If you use handwriting for literature writing, it is even worth learning steno short hand. Handwriting for notes or journaling is NOT calligraphy and in the end you are the only one who has to read it anyways.

When I started writing a diary in 2020, I found that my handwriting improved over time. Of course, it is good to go for a good handwriting from the beginning - well-formed letters and good spacing -, but it will get better as you do it. Practice does make perfect.

Love this video. I have loved to write ever since I was a child. Where can we find the dotted journaling paper that you use? I cannot find anything where the dots are dark enough to see. Most of the dots are so faint I can't see them.

Hello! I am glad you found the video interesting ☺️ The dotted journaling pages have been custom designed by me and is available for your download at a small cost. Please note that it will only be available until the end of this month! Here is the link for more information: www.flourishedhope.com/shop/p/5partjournal

Thank you for this! Does this gold foiling work on other kinds of covers or does it have to be leather?
@FlourishedHopeКүн бұрын
Hi there! You can certainly gold foil onto different surfaces as well, such as paper, fabric. But I personally enjoy doing it best on the leather ☺️ I am curious how your projects will turn out ✨

This was spot on, I love to journal and use my supplies but felt overwhelmed many times to create the perfect layout and fell off the wagon many times. Thank you for your insights and sharing your knowledge. I loved that you customized it completely even from the notebook to the prompts and layout. I liked the way you spoke about the goal of journaling ❤.

Thank you for a great tutorial. There are many brush tutorials available that walk through changing brush settings but few take the time to explain what each setting change means. It would have been helpful to have the exact shape or instructions on how to create it. However .... This was all very helpful and with a few tweaks I finally have a favorite Procreate calligraphy brush!

The tip for thicker paper is not the best. Plenty of thick paper is not good. It might not bleed through but it will feather which makes your writing look even worse.
@ravenoctober993617 сағат бұрын
It CAN feather but its not a for sure thing it will. I have plently of thick paper that doesnt feather. Just have to try out different types.
@mayneric17 сағат бұрын
@@ravenoctober9936 my point was that thick paper alone doesn’t guarantee you anything about the quality of the paper. The sizing, fiber type, and coatings are just a few things that affect the performance way more that the thickness.

Hello, new to your channel, and I'm struggling to return to journalling. I saw this video and I would like to ask you (and I'm not the only one): would you please consider selling all your system of jornalling? It would help a lot of other adults like me.
@iwonak70912 күн бұрын
I tried bullet journaling but it was hard to stick to and required more effort to set up and follow through than I was willing to invest when I didn’t feel like dealing with that… so now I have one small notebook that works as a calendar (with easy layout) and I don’t try to keep it perfect as I know that would just hinder me from using it.. and I write there notes, to-do lists and everything I want. It’s messy but it works. I have another notebook for more spiritual thoughts and prayers which I forget to use :( I don’t include any trackers as I was always forgetting to fill them in.. I still try to make my spiritual journaling more consistent and think how I can improve it

@FlourishedHope2 күн бұрын
Oh, I am flattered ☺️ I am in my late 30s so 20 years would make me high schooler! I totally understand how “20 years” sounds like a long time but I have been journaling consistently since elementary 📝 When I counted the years, I was surprised too!

New to your channel ❤ is the template (specially habits tracker) for your journal available to buy?
@rexbunuan97935 күн бұрын
Been consistently writing since the beginning of this year, found some inspiration how I do my journal and some I created my way. And I resonate with how you do ur Journal, like the structure and the ready to print layOut. And I wanna do it as well to incorporate it in my Journal diary. As for my set up right now, I've created a notevook of my weekly plan: My habit tracker and my to do lists including my financial track. I'm doing quite pretty good but as I continue along my way of journalling, I want to learn more about it. Just how I learned today from your video. Thank you! gonna download the templates for sure. ❤ So much love from the Philippines. ❣️

The paper that I am using is called Copperplate Graph Pad by John Neal Books. The pad comes in two sizes and one more cool is about the pad is that those green guidelines disappear once you scan your work. It is definitely one of my favourite paper to use as a calligrapher! ☺️
