Do you realize how many people have been screwed by the word cactus in "miracle grow cactus, citrus , and palm". It is false advertising and many many many poor cactus have been killed by this misnomer. Why can't we be better? Why does our society have to lie to each other constantly for a dollar. On this little rant, I recently purchased for the second time some spike and bloom cactus soil from amazon. The first time I ordered it about a year ago it was a decent mix as advertised. The second time I ordered (same item, same bag, same price, same marketing) it was just red sand. What the heck? I am going to have to return this bag of red sand now. Why why why? Anyways, thank you for sharing this series, it has been informative.

I got some 50¢ aloes from there because they were dried up! Now they're big n beautiful and flowering for me. I also purchased a rainbow dude and its growing significantly. Best nursey in tucson! 🎉❤

I'm really liking unigro cactus mix results! I wonder if you add earthworm castings with the unigro + bonsai mix would it increase the astrophytum seedling size. I really enjoy this playlist! Definitely learning a lot! Thank you so much for doing this!

I'm still trying to get anything to grow from seed to a stage when they became recognizeble as cacti so it's fascinating to see how many of yours are alive. You talked a while back about statistics, one can't expect anything without sowing a lot of seeds I think that is my problem

Currently watching the video, Great so far! I was thinking that maybe the differences you see with the top dressing could be that the darker one heats up more under the light, making a warmer temperature that the seeds like in order to germinate.

Nice video series! If you want to avoid algae in your squeeze bottle, just keep it away from the grow light. Algae ususally grow because the water is exposed to lot of light which is perfect for them. Edit: algae also like fertiliser

I like growing outdoor yucca. I have like 11 golden sword yuccas and a few other like adams needle and soft yuccas. Its hard to grow here in central Wyoming, hot a few months out of the year and then wind cold and snow the other 8 months out of the year. The goldens do well here. Alot of them have been in the ground for a year now and have pups. I got some texas pear I am starting in pots and I have watched your other video on pear propagation and growing. I will wait and see how they do with the winter and the bitter cold. I have some wild soap weed yuccas going and they are used to wyoming winters here. Have 1 utah aguave I am trying out. Its a wait and see also.
