Great for a first attempt. I not sure 3in1 oil will do good to paint and plastic.
@duanemadeit946015 күн бұрын
@@philfrydman2576 it wasn’t the best choice in retrospect - but after several years it hasn’t caused much of an issue. I think it was just small enough of an amount to not damage.

This video was wonderful, as a doll restorer myself, I am jealous of your air brush, I hand paint and shade….jealous cause bf put my machine in the garage and end up crocheting or hand sewing clothes, mixed with other vintage I may have. It was wonderful seeing you repair a squeaker! I found some vintage based squeakers as toys from an import store but they are too big for small dolls, but okay for large teddy bears. Thank you for showing all your skills, it was marvelous!

Hello sir, do you have link for printable stickers? @16:57 Hope you could help me so I could fix mine as well
the doll looks nice. But your "restoration" goes against almost every principle of antique doll restoration. It isn't an antique anymore but a Duane doll...no real doll collector would want it. Maybe do some research on what are acceptable changes and those that are complete destruction of the original only to be replaced by an amateur individual....Sorry to see this happen. At least maybe you learned something. Just don't go restoring/ruining anymore antiques.

Hi there Linda. I think that you’re blurring the lines between “restoration” and “preservation.” I’ve done plenty of research and received the guidance of many professional doll restoration specialists on this project, I assure you. But I appreciate your concern. And don’t worry, this doll sold for hundreds of dollars! Thank you for watching.

Considered throwing away the few I have that are rusted, but decided first I would YT "restoring Tonka truck" and came across your channel. Great video, that is so inspiring. Guess after all, I WON'T be throwing them away.
