I enjoy tim to be honest. I dont care for some of the others. I think tim keeps it real and he does give credit when due. The judges take deductions on everything i mean he doesnt lie. I do wish he would call out skill names and teach more about the skills and requirements but overall hes waaaaaay better than most. With the hands down WORST being Tasha Schwagart NOW SHE IS HORRIBLE. not tim tho , for me anyway

Elfi commentated a couple competitions without Tim in the 90’s she was actually less critical and slightly more complimentary of all the gymnasts, I’d rather her still be doing this over Tim. Shannon Miller should be doing it over Nastia but she’s not enough drama for NBC broadcast

You want annoying? How about Monica Phelps!! At least the NBC commentators don’t sit there and fat shame constantly. They call out what they see, and as much as some find it annoying they are being truthful. Yes, they can be obnoxious but I’d rather hear commentary that looks at all aspects then just seemingly clueless banter. And yes, the European commentators are just as biased when they commentate international competitions.

The problem with American commentators is they're allergic to dead air. They can't stand not talking. In other places, like the U.K., if there's nothing to say, the commentators don't say anything.
