Great video! I'm a 5th year in south central Pennsylvania. We have the same challenges as a southern beek, but overwintering our colonies is by far much harder than y'all in the south.

I am located in Illinois so I suspect I will have some issues overwintering my colonies too. That is one of the reasons that I elected to go with 2 deep boxes per hive. I just posted my next video with an update last night. I don't want to ruin it for you but I got good news!

Where are you located. I'm in Darlington S.C. maybe i missed something. Love to hunt also. I've been slow this year from ankle fussion but love to see new beekeepers getting started. Not a unexspesive hobby for sure. I'm 68 with 16 hives that made it by theirselves that are still going. Had friend pull 4 hives with honey frames and exstracted enough for my local customers. Thanks for 🙏

@BucksBeesS.C. I'm located in the Midwest! Been an interesting process to get started for sure. I guess I'll add it up there on my list of expensive hobbies. Thanks for watching!

I loved at 6:12 when you scraped the honey and the one bee crawled around and looked like “now wtf”
