At least as a newcomer to the game you don't have to wait 20+ years for a potential sequel/prequel... ... why am I crying? T_T

@@shepergames3734 The only difference that matters is if a human is good-willed or if he/she is not good-willed. If we have good will, the rest will find their way. If you allow me, where are you from?
@shepergames3734Ай бұрын
@Stellarionas I'm from Los Angeles. The united states have a particularly complicated history when it comes to race relations. The reason why I mentioned the diversity of the characters in this video is because there is a brewing community of gamers who are prone to outrage over forced diversity in modern games. Beyond good and evil is an example of good diversity. It has characters of all races and species and the game is better for it. All these cultures give the world of hillis a very distinct character.

There are other people that were able to play the gog version on pc with no issues. Sometimes you just get unlucky with a driver or a particular hardware configuration and I think that was my case. I'm sure the emulated GameCube or Xbox version would be fine.

Yeah those same perspectives scared me away as well. In spite of the flaws I acknowledged, I ended up really enjoying it. Especially for a sale price of sub 20 bucks it truly warrants a look if you're willing to lean into what the game does well rather than what it does poorly. If I'm being honest, if I had paid full retail I would still feel I got my money's worth.

Oh I am GETTING this game next time it’s on sale. I was never interested in it, but... Parkour, magic nails, fantasy kitties, magic skill trees, fantastic photo mode, a main character who is flawed, a great story??? I really missed out because of all the negativity around this. Now it’s my most anticipated game to go on sale. Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll have something new to dive into after I finish Horizon Forbidden West 👀 Also, I do vaguely remember Aloy being too nice in the first game. In the second game, she’s more standoffish and takes a while to accept the help of her friends, and she never really warms up to getting praised. I do love her a lot, too, but I’m excited to see Frey be more mean and snarky 😂
@shepergames37344 ай бұрын
I'd be pumped to hear your thoughts when you do give it a try. I think this game is an empathy test. If you're a bleeding heart like me then you're more likely to forgive the flaws and give the game a chance. The combat and traversal is legitimately fabulous though whichever side of that line you fall on.

Loved this. I wanted to play automata, and through researching it came across replicant. I thought…might as well give it a go. And wow, from the opening sequence I was in love. The story is so well executed and the characters so likeable. I’ve completed replicant and just finished ending A of Automata. And honestly, whilst I can see how automata is objectively better, it falls short of Replicant for me. It’s the unassuming nature that caught me off guard, the pleasant and absolute surprise I got with replicant. Whereas automata had expectations set high and, perhaps slightly under delivered story-wise. Just my current hot take, will finish a few more automata endings and then see 🤷🏽♂️🔥 Anyway, great vid! Thoroughly enjoyed it.
