Christopher Walker is one of my favourite Bond villains. I remember being allowed to stay up to watch the movie on TV in the late eighties on a Saturday Night and closing my eyes during prayers in church on the Sunday Morning thinking about all of Zorins poor Men at the end of the movie.

Algiers airport feels similar to my experience at an Indian airport in the 80s - planes not parked at gates, late nite/early morning flights

I had to come here after prisoner exchange w/ Russia incl the releases of Whelan & Gershkovich, very similar situations - Carter just left ofc & Biden announced few wks before of dropping his re-election bid; I guess not having a 2nd term meant dedicating more to achieve this kind of cause

I wanted to see the show continue, following the lives of Betty and Bud through their college years.

In my opinion, the Ghoul Show was WAAAAAY better than either the Big Chuck and Little John Show or Superhost and I was crushed when 61 canceled the Ghoul in 1984.

I recall only seeing the "tail-end" of this commercial once, namely, the part with the music from Star Trek III: The Search For Spock. I have now seen the whole commercial, and it does amuse me. When I heard James Doohan address that woman as "Wende", I assumed that was his third wife, Wende Braunberger. This commercial is so memorable.

That was America as we all loved and Kate was a symbol of it. Today this country is in shambles, how I miss that old America, it's values and the music. RIP Kate. God Bless America

Listening to The Human League "Keep Feeling Satisfaction" made me want to watch this with it for some reason and it went great with it. Then I played The Pointer Sisters "Automatic" during 2nd half of the video since the song ended and it went perfectly!

0:35 “I look at this crowd and I see 200,000 phones not in use!” 😂 How times have changed! Nowadays with smartphones, many people in the crowd are filming the ball drop, taking selfies, posting on social media, etc.! This 1985 crowd looks like they’re having way more fun than the crowd you see nowadays. And wow, I just noticed a lot of people in the 1985 crowd are dressed in gowns and tuxedos!

I think think the dog from the Alpo commercials may have outlived him. Safe bet Lorne would have agreed with that statement.

Huge part of my childhood. I'm old enough to remember watching the final couple seasons of Bonanza on NBC with my dad and brother. Rest in peace, Lorne and dad. You are both missed. Dirk Benedict once said that Lorne was always willing to give a guy a couple of bucks when needed without expecting to be paid back.
