This input would go, 2nd 4, 2nd set (until you reach DB) and input '200' for the double declining balance functionality, LIV = 5 (useful life), M01 leave alone, CST (cost) = $800K, SAL (salvage val or residual val) = $65K, YR (when you want to recognize the depreciation) = 2, this will output DEP = $192,000 or Answer C. Interestingly, you can substitute YR = 2 to YR = 5 and the DEP exp will equal $38,680. Professor, 2 questions. If they ask about triple declining dep, would we input 300 in the DB? and, what is the difference between DB and DBX, they seem to output the same results regardless of the year (ie same RBV and dep exp).
