I’m currently in junior college, plan to transfer to a division 2 then play in japan. How tall do you need to be to be considered a wing out there? I’m 6’4 and very athletic, is that tall enough to be considered a 3 in that market?
2 күн бұрын
6'4 is a pretty good starting point! Usually it's about 6'5 - 6'7 around there. Athletic wings who can do it all - rebound, defend, score in iso, run, score in transition. What is your nationality?

Apart from good pay how can a player get business opportunities while playing overseas ?
9 күн бұрын
There are so many different ways you can take it. Here's a few ideas: 1. Coaching camps, clinics 2. Coaching academies 3. Sponsorships 4. Paid appearances 5. Online basketball business 6. KZfaq channel on your basketball journey 7. Create an online course/product (e.g. how to become a better shooter, defender etc.)

Helllo, I have a question. How do you continue your career in Germnay after 10 grade( im in 9 grade and just started playing basketball)
9 күн бұрын
Enroll into an academy and keep on moving up the ranks within the academy. Preferably, you would be in academy that has a senior team in one of the professional leagues (Regionalliga 1-2 or higher for senior level). Where are you located?

9 күн бұрын
How old are you now? If your goal is the NBA then I would focus on getting into an NCAA D1 program. If that's not possible then I would use your Indian passport to try and get into a high-level Asian pro league (Japan, China, Australia). Luckily as an Indian passport holder, you count as an Asian import in many of these Asian basketball leagues.

Yeah - it's insane how popular basketball is across the country. The crowds you draw at even these village games is mind-boggling. I've literally never seen an empty game before.

How can I get in contact with the teams?
11 күн бұрын
For this one you will have to go through an agency or trusted connection in the market. It's simply too high-level to just DM them. No one will respond. www.fiba.basketball/find-basketball-agent

Much of the Middle East is a closed-off market and it will be tough to just DM a team out of the blue. That's not really how the Middle Eastern or Asian markets work. Instead, you'll have to go through a close connection to the league or agent who is active in the market. What is your experience level?

Does my college eligibility from the US follow me to Canada?
23 күн бұрын
What do you mean exactly? If you played in the States (NCAA D1/D2/D3, NAIA etc.) then it will count as a year of college eligibility that is used. But remember in Canada we have 5 years of eligibility unlike the USA (4 years).
