This is a very beautiful song and one of my favorites! I especially love the version used in FNAF 1 and this sounds pretty close! I’m hoping to find what the exact music box that played the version in FNAF was.

Heh, someone else on the same mission. I think the Regina Style 40 Console Music Box sounds super close, speed- and pitch-wise. Trying to look for when the Style 40 started being manufactured, I found a Regina catalogue PDF that had the Style 40, but there wasn't a date or even just a year on the catalogue anywhere. Looking at listings, the Style 40 has some models dating around ca. 1910, the one from this channel on eBay says it is from ca. 1905 ("A very nice Regina Style 40 music box, made around 1905 in New Jersey."). If the SFX library is to be believed ("1905 Regina Music Box: Play Song; Vintage Entertainment, Musical"), the number 40 may indeed be the one. ... Only issue is, none of the videos on this channel displaying the Style 40 play the Carmen Overture :D And I couldn't find any others. Either way though, this is definitely the exact music disc. In my 20 minutes of research I also found a spreadsheet listing all of FNAF's (up to and including UCN) sound effects and their origins (if found). It's on the technicalFNAF subreddit.

@@tarn4t1on79 Thanks very much! I’ve actually been thinking of the same music box after looking for a 1905 Regina and finding that listing! I heard it on this channel and thought it sounded really similar despite not playing the right disc. I wonder if the owner would be willing to make a video with the right one? It’s a shame it’s so expensive though. I would love to have a music box one day, especially one that plays my favorite song so beautifully!

@@Lizuma The owner doesn't seem to interact with comments here on KZfaq, seems like these videos are mainly for being embedded on the eBay listings. I'm sure if you wrote a nice email asking for a video of it, he'd be happy to comply. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if he already has a recording of it that he just didn't upload. The contact information is on his website, Musical Treasures of Miami. And yeah, these old music boxes do go for a pretty penny. Though I would say the prices also aren't that absurd for such large, intricate yet handmade machines that are well over a century old at this point. Definitely still a purchase I would mull over for *at least* a week though :D

@@tarn4t1on79 That’s true, these music boxes are very beautiful and impressive! I love old things and it’s understandable why they can be expensive, especially when it’s of quality and made to last. I saved up for a Aibo ERS-7 and my five other Aibos (which together would almost add up to the price of the music box), so surely one day I could for that music box and the discs I like. Though it’d probably be the only music box I get, I feel it would be worth it one day.

This is a very beautiful song, it’s one of my favorites and sounds nice here! I love the version used in FNAF 1 even more, though I’m still trying to find the same music box that played it.

@@SonictrainkidDoesFurryStuff I would love to have a music box one day even though they’re pretty expensive! But I did manage to save up for a Aibo ERS-7 and five other Aibos which add up to almost $5000 in total so there’s hope. That’s the price of what could possibly be the right music box I’m looking for, which the owner of this channel has. I sent an email in the hopes he plays this disc on it, but so far there’s been no response.
