The first time I have seen this video and it is absolutely awesome. What a great group of legendary musicians together on stage performing only as they can, and at their very best.

@@itcameoutofthesky good morning, its not my opinion. Im just pointing out that its difficult to hear all of the mid ranged instruments & voicings in this mix. i have a very good system but (even with my klipsch equalizer) could not bring up the volumes of all the instruments in the recording. Thankyou for replying & have a great day. 5:46 am 2/24/24

Oh yeah! Must be played LOUD! I remember this song from my childhood. My brother was a sailor at the time and the times he was home he occupied the room next to mine, with just a thin wall between the rooms. He always played music - GOOD music, either from vinyl or from his tape recorder. There were so many times CCR sang me asleep and I love and cherish both the old CCR recordings and later JCF's songs even today - and I guess I always will. Hearing this brings back the good times from "way back when". Shoutout to #itcameoutofthesky; thank you for sharing this with us, it's very much appreciated! :)

Haha, sounds just like my youngest older brother (by 3 1/2 yrs), he had a kick ass Pioneer Stereo system. We shared an adjoining bedroom wall and it would literally {{vibrate}} from the volume! Our mom would yell, “put on your earmuffs?!!” her term for headphones 😂. He had a fabulous album collection, thank goodness for older sibs (I had 3), and was the spoiled baby-girl. Peace.

Here you can hear what John was a master in; Putting his soul into the singing. It starts with the outro after the last "Going back", and "Tonight" is already blowing one's mind! For a layman, it probably sounds like simple shouting, but there is a big difference between shouting and this. One has to be in the right mood at the right time to be able to produce something like that. I've sometimes managed only in certain songs but mostly failed.

Wow! Thanks! I think this 45 is the best sounding examples of these two songs I have ever heard. Wish I could find "Comin' Down The Road" backed with the instrumental "Ricochet" that sound this good. Was there a clean sounding stereo pressing you are aware of? I read once where Fantasy didn't take much care in pressing these songs and some examples, I've heard are barely listenable. Thanks again, as usual Robert, you rock! :)

I do own the stereo version from CDTR too (not Ricochet), but it's nearly stereo and the sound really isn't good enough to add it on here IMHO.
