@@99unboxings I playing mostly now WoW Cata max settings, Fortnite High settings and pure 1440p. both at 144 FPS all the time pretty much. Have also before played Borderlands 3 high/ultra settings at 130-144 FPS. Battlefield 2042 at high settings 144 FPS. Doom Eternal max settings 144 FPS and so on! but my GPU is the Red Devil overclocked version and even undervolted and overclocked with vram and has AMD SAM on. So believe me 7800XT is A 4k budget card or 1440p high end card!

For competitive FPS games, absolutely. Even going higher than 240hz will give you noticeably improvements in motion clarify that have non-negligible effects on the experience and your performance in game. He shows valorant here, and all of the pros in that game will tell you not only that 240hz is way better than 120 or so, but that the 540hz monitors are loads better than 240hz, For meda consumption, day-to-day tasks, AAA games, or any game that can't be run at over 200 fps, it's not necessary or helpful at all.
