@@moonTerfixx. It's an edited version of the timpani sound from the Korg AG-10 sound module (edited to be loopable, thus having the sample last longer). Here's a soundfont and I compared the two instruments and they match alike. musical-artifacts.com/artifacts/1319

Those sequences don't exist on the arcade release so I don't have access to them However, I've been thinking of trying to demake it back using the CPS3 instruments.

I'm not sure, I know it's possible to change the character voice lines so I assume the same could be done for the actual instrument samples, but it isn't as easy as just downloading the audio and slapping it on the ROM, as it just doesn't work that way.
