be sure to have your nibs clear of any start oils. Use a lighter,windex, hot water or stick it in a potato for 10-15min. If you aren't angled and postured well when writing then that too is a possible factor. Be sure that when you write that your elbow is straight and not bending. Extreme note! Be relaxed! Don't tense when writing and give your hand the practice it needs to get the hang of writing lightly! Hope this helped.

I'm using Rhodia 80gsm and it works perfect. Some say 100gsm is good, too.

@@srijyotimahapatra6134 yes, the higher quality the better. The problem with low quality paper is catching on the nib and bleeding. You may have to try different brands, but one I've seen mentioned on forums is HP premium choice laserjet paper, but I have no personal experience of this.

Hanneke van Houts I know, sorry I'm still working on my camera skills so I fit in the frame haha. Thanks for bearing with me! I believe the blue I used was the Windsor & Newton Ultramarine, the purple was Reeves Violet, the yellow was W&N Cadmium yellow, and the orange and red were both Reeves. 😊
