There is a great motorcycle museum in North Walsham Norfolk. Small but perfecty formed. The fella who owns it is great, i remember when the kids were little he let them in free.

Hi andrew great to see some more of your awesome collection . Cheers mate🇦🇺

Great advice given . Would like to see you buy a sign . Then explain the things you look for .with that sign, that separates it from a fake .. (As you said a fair few fakes around). Also you have mentioned in previous videos having restoration done on rarer signs.. a before and after would be good, Always enjoy a look at your magnificent collection.👌

You say some people give you fake advice, because they want to to buy something THEMSELVES. Talking of which - I'm sometimes disgusted by the sharp practise of Bangers And Cash! They often cut off bidding when people are still bidding. What do THEY care - they don't care if someone gets the full value from the sale of their vehicle, because auctioneers get their commission anyway, and they can similarly rush through more cars, and so earn more money themselves!

I love the shape of the Velox and the Cresta, I think they were the best looking and best designed cars Britain ever made. The engine was very quiet in the Velox even when going up hills. I am from Oz (Aussie) and often wonder does it ever stop raining in England......

Intermittent Oil Pressure, Won't be the oil pump, It's caused by a pin hole (normally from the flagged joint) oil pick up pipe allowing air to be introduced, you need to face both surfaces and new gasket (never use Silicon). Job Done.

Electric vans just not viable for majority of users, gotta get there sometimes A to B to C and back to A
@AndrewHardyClassicsАй бұрын
That's exactly right! Electric cars really are just not enough for a lot of people to travel long distances
@user-wk5oi5nw9uАй бұрын
manufacturing dont want simple cars that u can fix at home as there servicing dont get any benefit
@AndrewHardyClassicsАй бұрын
You're probably right there - nobody can tinker on with modern day cars like you could back in the day!
@highlandrab19Ай бұрын
You seen and peugeot 505 estate cars for sale in the uk? They used to be quite common but havent seen any for years now shame as i quite liked them
@petea7323Ай бұрын
The problem with electric vans should be taken very seriously. I work with a company that’s just bought 130 diesel vans as they all need to do 200+ miles a day. Sometimes 300. There’s a big issue with weight and range and how they will all recharge. I don’t know any vans that are suitable for the task in hand. We work in the remotest locations and work long shifts. Recharging is just impractical
@AndrewHardyClassicsАй бұрын
Hopefully everybody will realise sooner rather than later about that problem - electric can't beat diesel

Had one that very same colour when I was 16, 40 years ago. You can tune them, there is a smaller diameter pipe that runs internally the full length of the down pipe into the welded on silencer, that needs to be removed. Although looking at the exhaust on yours it's not an original CB50J exhaust, so it may even be an unrestricted CB50 exhaust as were sold everywhere outside the UK. A CB100 carb can also be fitted. And then go up two teeth on the gearbox sprocket. You can also fit an XR75 or 80 top end, as these engines were basically a sleeved down version of those. I did those mods to mine (apart from fitting an XR top end) & it still wasn't quite as fast as my mate's AP50s or Fizzies but I had fun trying lol. It would regularly go off the 45 mph speedo on the flat though.

You forget that every fossil fuel car produces c02 which is filling the sea with carbolic acid which is killing all sea life. Next death is us.

It's crazy how much work and effort needs to be put in modern vehicles nowadays - they definitely don't make them how they used too!

But one thing that many forget nowadays, is that undercoating was often an option, and more than a few dealers offered rust-proofing, but most people, in this country at least, were too cheap to order it, as it didn't make the car prettier or faster, and in the prosperous post-war years, many people figured that they would soon have another car in a few years anyway.

Wicked little cars. I had one as my first car. I fitted a Datsun Stanza 1.5 engine into it. Goes straight in onto the 1000 gearbox. Wish I had it now, but that was in 1986. All the best👍🏾🛠️🇬🇧
