Dutch Middelbare school is even mpre complex. We dont chose our careers at 12-13. The level is most often "decided" by your teacher (in groep 8). Afyer graduating someone from Havo can still do VWO. Also VMBO isnt 1 thing, but is rather compased of 3 different levels. Middelbare school consists of 2 parts. Onderbouw: where you get (almost) all subjects. Bovenbouw: where you can chose (or at VMBO drop) certain subjects. I know that for Havo and Vwo there is normally some system to make everything fit well together

It's a misconception that the choice you make at age 12 is final. If you start at one level and you do well, you can work your way up. If it turns out you've aimed too high you can switch to a less demanding level.

Honestly, i can relate so much. I clung to religion for a while to try and get some sense of belonging. But as time went on, i slowly realized that i simply dont fit the mold that had been socially laid out for me. That i never would. And once i let go of Christianity and started seeing it for what it was i became more and more comfortable with myself. Now that im 21, i want to be more active in the lgbtq+ community. I want to go to pride. I want to protest and help others like me. Now that ive moved down to Texas its harder to find people like me. Hopefully i can find my way around and start making a positive impact.

Wij zijn een gay koppel die 32 jaar samen zijn. Wij hebben vroeger ons verdiept in het adopteren van kinderen. Je kan adopteren tot je 42e en het duurt ongeveer tussen de 5 en 8 jaar voor je in aanmerking komt. Het adopteren van een kind uit China kost je ongeveer 50.000 euro, een kind adopteren uit Amerika kost je ongeveer 100.000 euro. Ook moet je bij een Amerikaans kind elk jaar een rapport uit laten brengen over hoe het met het kind gaat. Ivf voor homo’s was toen nog niet mogelijk. Dus als je een draagmoeder had dan moest je er ook mee naar bed om zwager te worden. Pleegouderschap was ook niet mogelijk voor homo’s.

Secondly, yes it is true that mbo, hbo and wo (university, literally meaning "wetenschappelijk onderwijs"/scientific education - which is meant to come after vwo ("voorbereidend wetenschappelijk onderwijs"/preparing scientific education) is based on the amount of theoratical/practical education, but I would rather link it to intelligence, as it would be nearly impossible for mbo students to do most of the wo (university) studies. However, students from mbo can climb their way to university, but it takes a lot of time and energy
