I'm so excited about the CHUCKALONG!!! And I'm thankful that we can use a painting we've already begun. I have one that I started either before COVID, or at the beginning of COVID, March '2019 maybe??? I didn't get very far - maybe a third of it, and it got packed away with all my craft supplies and kits because we were creating a craft shed for me. So now it's 2024, and my craft shed is still a work in progress because my hubby has gotten frail and doesn't have the dexterity and strength he used to have. We're 70, and we don't have the $$$ to pay for help. Not sure if it'll ever be completely finished inside, but there is air con and heat, so if he'd just move the tools and trim, I could set my stuff up out there. I don't care if it isn't the prettiest space anymore; I just need my space! Anyway, I'm going to unpack my DP bag, find my Chuck, and sit in the middle of my bed again to work on him. Woohoo! I'm ready!!! Edit: I found my Chuck Pinson!!! I was very, very new to DPing and didn't have a journal. So I wrote on the box. "Purchased with $50 gift card from DAC, a prize from "winterwithdac" Purchased for CHUCKALONG, March 2021. " So that means it's been waiting 3 years in the bag. I only have one row done, so about 1/4 done. Plenty to finish. Yay. I'm ready to post on the 1st!!! It's no longer available. It's "Strength Along the Journey." I didn't know then that I would lose my youngest child in April, '22. I need to finish this one and get it framed!!!

Serendipity is on my side. I completed a Chuck Pinson years ago and gave it to a friend. Last weekend a relative decided to gift me her unopened Treasures of the Great Outdoors. I’m excited to unexpectedly participate in this event.

Looking forward to the event! I am in the US, but what about international people?? I know that has come up as an issue in the past. Also, If you are doing a painting you had already started, do you still post a start and progress pic in the 1st week?

I was looking at this image before as well. I would have gone with a 60x60cm square due to the details. Doesn't the rendering/symbols remind you of Jaded Gem Shop, The Mermaid's Cavern, and Diamond Artisan Shop? They also rotate out their images frequently by placing soon to be gone kits as Last Chance.

I can see why they call it calming. It looks cozy.

I haven’t been to Michigan, but my daughter worked in the medical field in Minocqua, Wisconsin; and they had a satellite clinic across the border in Michigan. They had a White Easter that year - and we ad so much fun!I It is beautiful up there - even with the bitter cold and stiff winds! We test too much and teach too little. We’re buried in all the paper work. I retired after 40 years! I hope you have an awesome year! Hearing you talk about testing online made me laugh. It’s a pain in the hiney. Brandy, that’s what we have too,

Our school started on August 9th. Crazy early! It’s still in the triple digits here. I feel for the kids that ride school buses in this heat! We used to wait til after Labor Day too for school to begin, and we stopped the Friday before Memorial Day . I know the Federal Government added more days to the mandatory school year, but that’s still really early to begin - especially in this heat. But families would rather vacation in June/July before the triple digits hit. So from that perspective, it makes perfect sense!
