I always listen to Hitchhiker's Guide audiobooks at night when I go to bed, so his voice is very soothing to me.

Real comedian, our Frank! Funny face and voice. Doesn't even need to say anything! He was a comic genius. Like he said, it's the way he tells 'em!

At least the first Moviedrome had a sense of irony and fun. Mark Cousins was way too pretentious.

Frank Carson wasn't a comedian. Frank Carson was .....Frank Carson. By all reports he was exactly like this when he was a Para.

I met Frank Carson in Heathrow departures 1981. He told me a joke, not too sure what he’s about, but it was to do with an arse and talcum powder. I laughed because I had to laugh. I didn’t get the joke, but he was a Roman Catholic from Belfast, who was in the parachute regiment, the British Army and he ended up being a mayor in a town north of Dublin. What a hero. God bless, Frank.

He seems so happy here which wasn't always the case. Bless him, he's from my Grandads generation and reading Spikes war diaries bought me closer to him than anything else. Not a perfect man by any means but Ive loved him ever since I first read puckoon.
