Your voice is soothing and the story is great but your choice of visuals is 90% awful. Surely we can find better imagery.

@@onenerdtorulethem-all The late Professor Tolkien was also very nonchalant- aka blunt- about his books and not a man who wanted his works turned into an allegory of nonsense. Mr. Jackson's adaptations of LotR are awesome.

A big sad moment, the 3rd eagle that met Frodo at Mt Doom was sent to retrieve Gollum, for the hopes that he had redeemed himself rather than succumbing to the influence of the One Ring.

So a fun fact, Legolas was only in Rivendell to inform Gandalf that Gollum had escaped captivity, thus setting in motion the elf to join the Fellowship. So what I gathered from this was the Gollum was the true MVP of Middle Earth?

Feanor was not actually king of the Noldor. While he claimed the kingship, the most part of the Noldor refused to renounce the kingship of Fingolfin.

@@onenerdtorulethem-all Here are some quotes from the corpus: "He [Feanor] now claimed the kingship of all the Gnomes, since Finn (4) was dead, in spite of the decree of the Gods" "But the Gnomes of Tun would not renounce the kingship of Fingolfin, and as two divided hosts therefore they set forth..." SoMe, The Quenta "He [Feanor] now claimed the kingship of all the Noldor, since Finwë was dead, and mocked the decree of the Valar." "Yet the Noldor of Tûn would not now renounce the kingship of Fingolfin; and as two divided hosts, therefore, they at length set forth upon their bitter road" LRaoW, Quenta Silmarillion "...and Fingolfin ruled the Noldor of Túna." "He [Feanor] claimed now the kingship of all the Noldor, since Finwë was dead, and he scorned the decrees of the Valar." "For though he [Feanor] had brought the assembly in a mind to depart, by no means all were of a mind to take Fëanor as king. Greater love was given to Fingolfin and his sons, and his household and the most part of the dwellers in Tirion refused to renounce him, if he would go with them." MR, Annals of Aman "After banishment of Feanor (& Finwe) Ingoldo became king, and took name of Finwe; but was known as Vinya Finwe or Ingoldo Finwe. From Ingoldofinwe > Ingolfin. Where do I find more information about the early drafts of lord of the rings? It was really interesting when you mentioned that the battle of the Hornburg did not exist in earlier drafts. I've always had a sneaking suspicion that must have been the case because it seems to follow the same formula as the siege of Gondor
@onenerdtorulethem-all
@onenerdtorulethem-all 2 ай бұрын
Hi thanks for your comment. I looked around for information a fair bit, you are 100% correct in feeling that the Hornburg and Gondor were following the same stream of thinking, systematically they are very one and the same just different locations. I looked for some info on the Tolkien Estate website and a website called Den of Geek has some cool stuff about other differences from the story we know and love today. So I would encourage you looking at those because they both have some good reads on there. Thanks again for the support!

@@onenerdtorulethem-all I'm curious what you think of Tolkien having basically the same battle happen twice? Do you think it's overly-repetitive storytelling, or is there enough differences to where it doesn't bother you? My thoughts are kind of conflicted after my latest re-read, and I'd like to hear another fan's opinion
