No , not for me. I turned 55 this year and sweat more than ever😢. I’m going back to natural,I’m mad that I went to the creamy crack. I was natural from 2012 to 2022 during Covid crisis I was so stressed and depressed about life and my hair ( it would not grow) that I got a perm a bad one at the salon. Now that the perm has grown out I’m gonna big chop the rest and go back to my curls no more heat for me. It’s hot enough in Vegas
@LoveSomeChrissyАй бұрын
Oh see girl I was going to talk you out of it and give it another chance but as soon as you said you live in Vegas…girl I’ll drive you to the salon to get it cut off myself. Now I understand why lol I’m sure your hair is absolutely gorgeous either way it goes. 🥰😍♥️

It’s a lot of work to straighten and keep straight too. Hair come with maintenance regardless consider going to a stylist to relieve yourself because with as loose as your curl pattern is I can guarantee someone can introduce a better way to you to help make it easier. Natural hair is simple fr
@LoveSomeChrissyАй бұрын
I really need the secret to a better natural hair routine. I absolutely love my curls but I guess it’s all the steps for me and not to mention the drying time too. That’s why I prefer my straight hair over curly any day. Also the amount of products you go through and spend money on…it’s expensive!
@SuchANaturalАй бұрын
@@LoveSomeChrissy for products consider keracare moisturizing curling jelly or mielle max hold gel for finger coils and wash n gos. Should last 2 weeks so these really no maintenance besides adding a leave in every couple of days after the steam from the shower or lightly misting with water. If you do use an oil something light that’s still an emollient like avocado or grape seed oil. Cover at night or satin pillow case
@SuchANaturalАй бұрын
@@LoveSomeChrissy to dry use a diffuser instead of air drying that takes too long. Of use a bonnet attachment for your blow dryer so you can relax while it’s drying. Easy ☺️

I feel your pain. I have close to waist length very thick 3C/4A hair. There have been so many times where I’ve just wanted to chop it all off. It is an unbelievable amount of work to maintain. It doesn’t help that I’m not that great at styling it so it’s usually in some form of ponytail. It’s a blessing and a curse that’s for sure 😢😢❤❤
@LoveSomeChrissyАй бұрын
Oh yes! The struggle is definitely real! People always ask me why I never where my natural hair as often…or they’ll be like “oh if I had your hair I would”, You would what!? You would be over it lol it’s a lot of maintenance to have long hair and I can only imagine what you go through ❤ but I’m here to tell you, you aren’t alone sis
@xy8379Ай бұрын
please tell me the products you use! you’re hair is absolutely gorgeous
@simoneshalom4516Ай бұрын
Yes I feel the same way! Everyone is like "why do you straighten your hair so much? Is it self-hate? Your curls are beautiful!" But having it straight is less work and maintenance then having a natural. I'll wear it natural when I have the time and energy to do my hair every single day

This will always be such an interesting sentiment to me. As someone who grew up wearing her natural hair and just started experimenting with wigs and weaves, it’s the complete opposite for me. Granted I don’t wear my hair down often but it takes about as much effort for me to do my natural hair as it does to maintain a wig/weave.
@LoveSomeChrissyАй бұрын
Wow! Yeah I would agree just doing your own hair alone is definitely high a maintenance task. Do you mind if I ask you why do you prefer to wear wigs if it’s the same amount of upkeep as your natural hair?
@wanahsimsАй бұрын
@@LoveSomeChrissy Lol I’m sorry for the confusion! I reread my original comment, and I wasn’t being very clear (it was like 2am, and I couldn’t sleep 😭). Which reminds me bc I forgot to mention, that your curls are gorgeous! What I was trying to say is I grew up wearing my natural hair and having it tended to so I wear my natural hair by default because it’s what I’m most experienced with and I simply prefer to. “I don’t wear my hair down often” as in I tend to throw my hair up into a bun lol. To reiterate, when I do decide to wear my natural curls down it seems to take just as long for me to manage as it does for me wear a wig/weave (especially bc I do it myself) so either way as a black woman, our means of taking care of our hair takes a lot of time and money (imo).
@SleepyPariahАй бұрын
Chile! Let me tell you, taking care of black hair is no joke - it's like a marathon race. You gotta stretch beforehand, take hydration breaks, and keep a positive attitude even when you wanna cry 😂❤️
