No no no, the #1 rule is knowing ur shapes like circle, square, cylinder, and triangle then you can draw ur picture. Like look at any picture and pic out the shapes of the picture like a house, you got ur square and triangle

If you feel the nees to sharpen your pencil's tip to this extent, just use a freaking lead holder instead

Wrong. The brand philosophy is What happens to YOU as you're drawing or writing, IS important and they improve this writing/drawing experience. You have a childish perspective. That's bad news. Other brands have different philosophies.

I'm 65 yrs old. I have never drawn anything in my life. Never felt as though I could. I always wanted to draw caricatures. I feel somewhere inside me a germ of a possibility that never had encouragement.

The reason faces and human figures are the hardest is because of the Uncanny Valley, which is a natural instinct to detect ...human imposters basically. So a picture of a face that seems off will 1, be obvious, and 2, be unnerving.

My sweet late Mother always told me how when I was very very young and she had me in a high chair to feed me, I just wasn't interested in eating, so she decided to try drawing pictures for me on paper on the highchair table, but she had to draw them upside down so that they were right side up for me, and I did eat while watching her draw different pictures, Then once I was able to hold a crayon and draw I drew upside down, haha. Now flash forward to when I was in college and majored in art. Our professor used the drawing exercises from the book Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain and one was drawing a huge drawing from a small drawing,a portrait of a man upside down. Mine came out perfect and aww nooo my professor thought I cheated and drew it right side up, that sucked that he felt that way about me. I can read upside down too.

3:13 in my case: its because is it even worth it to actually learn how to draw? i sometimes ask myself that question and while writing this i feel a crushing feeling on my chest because im not sure if im bein 100% honest with myself when i say that is not worth it Because... i don't care about people judging me, i care if its an abilty that actually will work or be useful, or if the tame i "waste" i can spend it on something else

The only thing that matters to any of us is the present moment. If it is something that gives you joy in the present moment, then do it. It can't be for a higher purpose. It has to be for the discovery of it all. It has to be for the mystery of it. And because you want to understand that mystery. And it also depends on whether you value money or experience. If you value money, it may not be worth it. All the best to you, my friend. ❤
