In case it wasn't clear, Lake is demonstrating how the Spirit truth and realm supercede body and soul, the mind/brain/thought life and the physical/body/material world. Like the Bible describes... "what you do in thought or deed..." Obviously the definition for mind is not the same definition of the brain, but without the brain, there is no mind/thought in the natural normal sense. In the case of Romans, he is describing their being in the covenant of the Spirit, which is proven by their having the Baptism of the Holy Spirit John in the spirit in revelation means the spiritual realm or having a spiritual experience Worshipping in the Spirit means tongues but in spirit and truth means from the heart in a real way :) The word for spirit/Spirit is pneuma and you can only tell the difference by context. And capitalizatuin doesn't help, because Greek and Hebrew letters didn't have upper case and lower case :P

Thanks for your comment! I believe that Charis and "faith" schools would make it a focus, and thats amazing! And yes, we need to hear and be taught to get the faith for it! Amen. Where I have seen the lack of the Baptism being taught are more new school ones, or Charismatic influenced - - anyplace where some power evangelism is taught but without the focus on the evidence of the Baptism. Many who mainly focus on getting images or impressions while praying for someone think that it's the same as the spiritual gift, but anyone can receive things from God from outside of themselves--but it's different when the Spirit is within - - and the biggest way to tell is how they feel about and how much they pray in tongues.
