Where is a good place to park in upper tantallon with truck&trailer? Want to hit rail bed,, want a safe place to park, and do u know if u can get to Queensland beach from trail,, I was thinking upper tantallon school for parking but not sure if allied thanks
@BackCountrySxSAdventuresАй бұрын
Depending on which trails I plan to ride I will park at the Elementary School in Tantallon or Exit 5A (for now until the Hiking Trail bridge is fixed). Elementary School will get you on the rail bed faster. I’ve never had any issues parking in either spot. Queensland beach is accessible but I’m not sure if it’s legal to ride your ATV/SxS in the parking lot to not.

As mentioned the school is a great spot when there is no school (Weekends and summer vac) Don't look for a spot during reg school hrs please. Another spot is if you continue to the end of Hammonds Plains Rd turn right and go to Bowater Mersey road you can unload in there as well!

@BackCountrySxSAdventuresАй бұрын
Thanks. I like the air vent but honestly I bought it mostly because I like the look of it and it was on sale last Black Friday haha. It has a "frogskin" filter basket and a heavier filter element in it that together are fairly restrictive and doesn't let it flow a lot of air. Both filters are easily removable so that should help improve the airflow.

@BackCountrySxSAdventures3 ай бұрын
IT really is a great adventure, I highly recommend it. I've planned another trip across for myself, the wife and 8 other friends this August. there are a few different apps that would work fine but I prefer the GAIA app on an iPad (there's an app for android as well). I leek the variety of maps it offers and the track/route creation tools are excellent. I've been running it on al old iPad Air 2 (from 2014 I believe it is) but just upgraded to an iPad Pro 11" that I'll be using now. I also have the same app on my iPhone and have it as a backup just I incase :)

With a 30" tire it doesn't;t leave much space for storage :) but I'll be able to fit a couple things there (fire extinguisher, jack, maybe a gas can and the tire). It'll free up some space in the trunk where I'll keep the things I want to stay dry
