I love the looks of the Moccamaster but I really don’t like that the coffee comes in contact with plastic parts. How is that acceptable at $350+?

To those of you questioning this video, roasting coffee can be fun and also irritating. Like many things in life, practice makes perfect. Roasting coffee is NOT an exact science no matter how many profiles you have on file. Just enjoy the process and do your own thing. Most time with this machine, common since will get the job done. Get in a few roast and you get the flavor you like. This guy here did a great job showing how the Fresh Roast works. For you Jason, you make the next video and give us the professional way. For me, the first three times I roasted coffee, I made my own roasting device and got some really great coffee out of them. I tend to like dark roast coffee and timing is very critical with that roasting. Chef Jerry Irmo South Carolina.

Lightly roasted coffee needs more than 48 hours to rest. It can take as long as 2 weeks or more to hit their peak

You should try rinsing the filter first, if using an unbleached one. And never fill the chamber with the pot. Oil residue will build up in the machinery.

o m Lawd WhY you younguns can't do a few minutes prep before shooting here is beyond me. You could've just read the ad copy - mentiined,for example the company's pointing out the product's portability, or, especially, the silicone gasket. I finally bought one of these last month. I am far from a coffee snob, but hands-down, this is the greatest drip coffee I’ve ever had. For those saying people, just like the way it looks, it does happen to look super cool, but do not discount the copper heating elements inside, as well as the water delivery that helps to bloom the coffee. There is a difference. That said, I’d love to shake the narrator and tell him to not talk about measuring things in grams. I know that’s a thing but that’s just coffee douchebaggery.
