Silly question really? While I'd love to Liam in a seat at RB Daniel bring to much to the team overall at this stage. If Daniel can find consistency from now till the summer break sadly I dont think Liam gets into a seat a RB unless Yuki gets traded to another team.

@@turito5218 qualified 5th finished 8th on the weekend. Been crash into twice in 8 races nothing to do with him, and what was it in the sprint as well. The talent is there and the knowledge for the team and younger driver's as well as the sponsorship dollars and PR he does for the team gives him a little grace. But for the experts on here of course its just the race results, and while I agree he needs to improve he deserves the time to find his rhythm. If he doesn't then 100 percent it time for Daniel to move on to other things. But he is far from the worse driver on the grid. I want Liam in a car I think he and a number of the younger guys in reserve rolls this year deserve their shot

Going to social media to negotiate your contract is no way to enamour you to your potential employer. Spoilt brat? No. Millennial, yes. Being a bit of a sook? Absolutely. What does Liam bring to the team? Sponsorship $$$? No. Car development? No. Speed? Yes, but not Max speed. If you can’t play the team game get off the team. Fact is, even if Ricciardo stays for another year to help sort out the team and car that’s probably it. He’s not there to win championships, he’s there to improve the team and car, which he’s doing, so that Red Bull can sell the team and their new powertrain next year. It’s a business. Oh, and despite what the video says Yuki is not “the better man”. He is still learning, a lot, from Daniel. The temper tantrum’s have reduced. Daniel is showing how to be a professional. And before anyone mentions the Jacque’s reaction, those things have more power when you don’t do it every week and it’s a bit of “what?”. Then you back it up with performance.

@@krisby1 DTS didn't like being told no drive, hated being told no and he's always there ready to stir the pot with a ha ha told ya so attitude if one of their drivers has a bad round. Saw him in the garage on camera looking at the screen with a smirk on his face when Ricciardo or Yuki was having problems.

I think Mr. Wolff got exactly what he wanted. It's just business, Lewis cost/performance is worth comparing to other options. The team cost cap can make a big difference and allow more R&D or more expensive parts. So a better cost/performance ratio on the drivers would help a lt. That is what I think Mr. Wolff is thinking.

Perez is a shocker and needs to go. When was the last time Max damaged the car. Not only is Perez back field but he is now effecting Max as well. With Checo it's always WE excuses. Only reason I can think of as to why RB keep him on is that he ticks the diversity box.

He stays because he enables Verstappen to win. He drove a damaged car back to pits knowing full well he would be penalized... but they avoided a safety car and secured Max's win. That is the key reason why he will stay.

I was surprised to see red bull extending his contract. I really thought they would sack him after a sucky performance in the middle of 2023 and a terrible performance in Imola in Monaco. What they are doing with checo is no the usual red bull way for drivers

I was shocked they gave him another contract. His performance has been poor for a while in what still is the best car on the grid. And last year the car was untouchable but he messed up here and there. With young talent on there books why did RB resign him at all?

he messed up alot of quali's last year, but at least he made up for it during the races, because the car was extremely dominant. Now that several teams are catching up to red Bull, he doesn't even manage to make up for his mistakes during the race. I was shocked too to hear the news about his new contract.

I had expected him to be replaced with another driver, so I was very surprised ( not in a good way) when the news came out he got a 2 year contract. After this race I'm even more bummed out he got a new contract. Looks like the constructors title will definatly not go to Red Bull this season. Unless ofcourse Perez steps up his game. But even if he does step up; I'd prefer a driver in that second seat thats actually able to keep up and even challenge Max. Because that would motivate Max to become even a better driver then he already is.

someone tell me when has Perez ever won a race on his pure pace, where he has been the fastest all weekend long ,never .All his wins were because of luck and some decent pace .for eg his first win happened because George had a puncture ,second when max and lewis had retired at the end of the race ,Monaco because he rigged the quali,last year at jeddah because max was unlucky with the safety car .He's never won on pace and if hasn't gotten better it will never get better
