How come some pups have patches on the body ? Is that from the Northumbrian cur?

Wondering how would you compare Rebel 1100 vs Street Twin (Speed Twin 900). This comparison would be for two similarly priced bikes.

Thank you for the ride comparison! Excellent video :)

Fantastic comparison video! It is exactly what I was looking for. Im purchasing my first bike and am torn between these 2. As a new rider who just passed the MC Safety Course, there is a lot to learn and a bit to feel intimidated by as well! I checked both of these bikes out over the weekend and I really liked the looks of both of them. I only sat on them to feel them out as I dont have my license yet (taking the written test this coming week).Thanks for all the details. Super, super helpful! I have subscribed :)

@@mcSal Colorado, they charge by weight of vehicle and how new it is. So the 2023 tacoma was almost $1,000 to register.

Then you will really like the automated manuals in today's semi's and how clunky and terrible they are .. the radar that makes it stop itself,or delay your throttle when vehicles suddenly or in front of you (your managed space ).. including all the beeping at you constantly that bother you and it's a job you supposed to have 12+ hour days🥴😵💫🫨

That snatchy throttle seems to be related to too lean a mixture. It’s also on the Kawasaki 650 engines. They use a booster plug to mitigate it.

I really enjoy the DCT over manual shifting. Gives more time to enjoy the ride. Can always manually shift if you want.
@13pardi3 ай бұрын
I love my 1100 DCT but I figured out that you can put the DCT setting on the user mode on max and it will upshift much later. The paddle shifters fine tune my shifts if I want later or sooner.

Very good video, I am deciding on one of these models and it is the best comparison I have ever seen. Maybe because of my height of 6'2" I will decide on "1100" although for the price the "500" would not be bad for me to start with.

Expensive dealer requires maintenance is a deal breaker. I have had my Sportster for 25 years and 400,000 miles on the original engine. New Triumph sounds like a Honda. New Triumphs are made in Thailand they have no character an appliance with no soul and treated as such. Disposable.

GREAT VIDEO! Answered all of my questions as I'm on the fence about which to get. I got a 300 a few months ago and it's simply not powerful enough for me. Too much constant shifting on the 300 around town to be more specific. I have to go thru almost all 6 gears from one red light to the next LOL. I'm really drawn to the DCT. I only want to watch videos of women's review on motorcycles and cars from now on. So much actual facts listed on the overlays on your video and not just rehashing of the same ole points that you can get from any press release. Thanks!

That bike is wayyyy too big for you. Even the Shadow Spirit 750cc I just bought is too big for me. I have a CMX450 Rebel and a CM450. 500cc is about the biggest bike you ever need. 350cc is probably the perfect size for me. Don't buy a bike you can't pick up, that you can't push jump start, that you can't push off the road or out of the way, and that you can't work on yourself. All those gizmos over time will break, so the simpler the bike, the better. You want to be able to get a wrench in everywhere. Preferably, you want to be able to take the cylinder heads off while the engine is still in the bike without having to take the whole thing apart... which is why I am mystified why I bought a V-twin when I knew that. What can I say, it was really pretty, and at a price I couldn't refuse. But still, an air cooled inline twin is the better choice always. The Shadow 750 drives like a car too. Maybe not as much as that 1100cc but still, enough to make me unhappy about it. My other bikes I could swerve to hit an obstacle like a stopped car, but this thing there ain't going to be any swerving, I'm going to plow right into what is straight ahead. Honda needs to realize their mistake, and go back to producing the Classic 1980's Rebel 250 and Rebel 450. If I were to start my own motorcycle company and build my first bike, I'd be copying the 1980's Rebel CMX450.

I appreciate you opinion, but you are trying to make an automatic duplicate a manual. That will never be. You are trying to drive it wrong. The bike is great, drive a DCT like a DCT. You will not be happy with anything other than a manual hand clutch. The rest of us love the DCT.

I cannot agree with you. I just traded my Harley Road Glide for a 2024 Rebel 1100 DCT and I LOVE IT! It is so fun to ride and I love the DCT. There are times that I have felt like I wanted to downshift so I tapped the paddle and bam, I'm where I thought I wanted to be. But 99% of the time, I just let the DCT do its work and I don't look at the gears all the time, because on this bike, it doesn't matter. You're talking about being in a gear when you think it should be a different gear - but that's on a manual. Not sure what it did in 2021 but now the bike knows when you are on a curve so it doesn't upshift to keep more power and torque now. Most people drive automatic cars and when was the last time soneone complained about how it shifted? Never. Because we are all used to how it shifts. You want to pass, slam on the gas and let the transmission downshift. Well the DCT does the same thing. Don't have to think about it and can fully enjoy the ride. I love the DCT and it seems to be working tremendously for me

If you are an experienced rider you should have put the bike in sport mode and it would have eliminated those issues you mentioned. I am curious as to whether or not you ended up taking the time to really explore the settings and whether you kept the bike or not? Please let use know. Thank you
